Hi… my name is Blue,

Adopted 9-3-21

So much for the great outdoors! That’s where I was living when an animal-loving lady rescued me, and I quickly joined her menagerie of cats and dogs.  I was initially shy but found my niche sleeping by her feet in bed at night, cuddling next to her legs by the sofa, and playing with string toys. Since arriving here though, I’ve been keeping a VERY low profile and haven’t been presenting myself in the best light, but I’m betting anything that in my own home with my own person and no (or not much!) competition, my personality will shine as much as my beautiful coat. I’d be so grateful if you’d give me that chance!

Hi… my name is Starlight,

Adopted 2-24-21

What’s in a name? Star light, star bright, first star…. well, you know the rest. My name may be the start of a poem, but I’m wishing for a new start in my life. I was found roaming on a desert road on the outskirts of town. I’m an adorable, 1-year-old Dachshund mix female and I’m just the right size to be the perfect fit for anyone’s home, maybe yours! If you’ll come to meet me, I think you’ll find out that I’m very sociable and loving. I can be very playful and yet I can also enjoy a quiet cuddle. I know how to use the doggie door and enjoy going for walks and spending time with different people. When you adopt me… I’ll get the wish I wish tonight.

Hi… my name is Blackie,

Adopted 2-13-21

Ok, so maybe I wasn’t at the head of the line when looks (or original names) were handed out, but I sure got there first for personality! And to add to my, uh, offbeat looks, I have a tipped ear, a corneal scar that clouds part of an eye, am missing lots of teeth, and could use a good healthy diet to get my coat back into shape. Well, “Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln…” I’m a fine specimen of a lap cat! No one knows where I came from, but it apparently wasn’t a happy place, so I’d simply love it if you’d choose interior over exterior and make me your very own dream lover!

Hi… my name is Shamu,

Adopted 2-4-21

“He loves being petted and enjoys looking out the window, sunbathing, and watching birds.” Sounds like stuff even humans might enjoy! I guess the only thing I really don’t like is dogs, ‘cause I was happy as could be living with my friend, Luna May, (and my family, which included a two little kids). Unfortunately, they were moving and couldn’t take us along too, so finding another home where I can be a big part of the action would positively make my year! And it would be even better if Luna May and I could stay together as we’ve been with each other all our lives. C’mon, be an angel and make that happen!

Hi… my name is Bronson,

Adopted 2-3-21

When I encountered several javelinas in Amado, I took refuge in a nearby yard. Since I’ve been here at TALGV, I’ve become quite popular, mainly because I’m so friendly, patient and good natured. I know how to sit when told and I can use a doggie door. I may be strong, but I do walk well on a leash. Since I recently demonstrated my climbing ability, I will need an enclosure from which I can’t escape. If you aren’t familiar with my breed, I can tell you that I’m playful, endearing, comical, sometimes stubborn, mischievous, but ALWAYS devoted. I actually thrive on affection and exercise. I’m known as the “ultimate personality breed.” I’m inviting you to be my guest at a “meet and greet” where we can get to know each other. Please accept my invitation!

Hi… my name is Kuro,

Adopted 2-11-21

“She’s very playful, loving on her terms, and will sleep with you and cuddle when she feels like it. She’ll keep an eye on you like a guardian, is perceptive to people’s emotions, and helps people she likes on a bad day.” And to sweeten the pot, I get along with dogs should you have one (a Chihuahua and a pit bull – so all sizes!). I do have a tendency to scratch things, but I’ll bet a nice tall sisal-wrapped cat tree would redirect those inclinations in no time. Since I’m still a youngster, boredom can set in quickly, so I’m hoping there will be lots of distracting playthings (people included!) in my future!
