Hi… my name is Gizmo,

Adopted 5-23-21

Once upon a time, I lived with three other cats and got along okay with them, but in my most recent home, I decided that being your one and only was way preferable and exactly what I was cut out for. My dad said I’m a great cat who sometimes gets into to places I shouldn’t (like the counters and near the stove), but I’ll get the idea that those things are verboten with a few spritzes of vinegar water to remind me they’re off limits. So if you think having a warm and fuzzy guy spending all his time with you (mostly in your lap), then you need look no further; I’m here waiting!

Hi… my name is Barney,

Adopted 6-25-21

Ah, the vagaries of life. My mom passed away recently and I’d lived with her, another cat, and a dog all my life, so I’m really missing that company. I’m the quintessential lap cat – I want to spend ALL my time being with you (preferably in that nice spot you make when you sit down!). I’ve never been around kids, so a quiet home would be the perfect place to start a new life. When I was young, I had a viral infection that left me with raspy breathing, but it doesn’t stop my ability to live well and “love on” you, so how about doing us as both a favor and making your home mine?

Hi… my name is Jolene,

Adopted 4-6-21

Notes from foster mom:

Jolene, Jolene… Prettiest girl you’ve ever seen. Fur of silky black, eyes of beautiful brown and weighs 50 pounds. She smiles when she greets people she loves. She is a sweet, affectionate one year-old dog that interrupted her puppyhood with a litter of 9 beautiful puppies. They are all weaned and have gone to homes of their own. She is very smart and sensitive and responds well to treats and positive reinforcement. She was a great mom to her puppies and very protective. She got along with the fosters dog well if the puppies were not around. Now that the puppies are adopted they are fine with each other. Her breeding is unknown but she appears to be a border collie/ retriever mix. Did we mention she’s very sweet, affectionate and loves attention.

Hi… my name is Patch,

Adopted 8-28-21

I am a young, active cattle dog mix who spent most of his first year with other dogs. I am a friendly guy who loves to play and run. While I am still most comfortable with four-legged companions, I’m learning that those who walk on two legs can give me some incredible ear scratches and belly rubs! My foster mom has taught me to let her know when I need to go potty and how to use a doggie door. She also says that I am crate-trained. I would really like to have at least one dog buddy in my new home who can show me the ropes. And people (or a person) with patience that are willing to give me the time to get comfortable and understand how to be their special companion.

Hi… my name is Lola,

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear my name? If you said a gorgeous, svelte female, … DOBERMAN, then you would be correct. Yes, that’s me! I’m 3 years old and I’m hoping to be interviewing potential adopters for a new abode. That’s the possible purebred in me speaking! When you get right down to it, I’m just a gal looking for a loving person to invite me into their home. I know several commands: I can shake (with both paws), down, sit, fetch, and drop it. I love going for walks with a strong handler who can offer direction. There’s also my fun, playful side and for some reason I enjoy playing with squeaky toys. If I’m still what comes to mind, I’m yours!

Hi… my name is Twilight,

Adopted 4-30-21

Do you appreciate sleek black beauties with nary a single white hair? What about a lightning fast paw at cat games? Then I’m your lady! I’m a whiz at bat the rat and many other cat and mouse games. I’m about a year old and was found wandering in the Animal League’s neighborhood. I don’t know if I’m good with kids, dogs, or other cats, but give me a try, because I fit in so well with people, I’d probably be fine. When I’m not playing cat games, I’m looking for a lap to curl up and snuggle into. So why not let me share my love and charms with you? You’ll never regret it!

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

It’s been a while since I arrived at TALGV, but I’ve come a long way, baby! I’m still that sweet, energetic gal who enjoys playing fetch with my toys and going for long walks. Being in a foster home has been a happy experience for me. My foster mom says I’ve been “excellent” with the kids. I’m house and crate trained and understand the commands; “sit,” “wait,” “down,” and “shake.” I can offer you faithful companionship, if you can offer me a home without cats; in fact, it would be best if I were your ONLY pet. It’s important to note that I come with Vet Care Support for Life. Please come and meet me soon and maybe I can interest you in a game of fetch.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.
