Hi… my name is Crikey,

Adopted 12-31-20

I’m a true Australian cattle dog; in other words, I’m NOT a couch potato. I need tasks and activities to keep me occupied. I’m good on a leash and would really appreciate someone who’s active and possibly likes to hike. I also enjoy playing and absolutely love car rides. I appear to be housetrained and I use a doggie door, and I know how to sit when told. It may take a while to build trust with me, but when you do I will be affectionate, attentive and willing to learn new lessons. If you are familiar with my breed or if you have patience to learn, please come in and meet me. Since I’m a working boy, if you’re willing to work, I’m definitely your boy.

Hi… my name is Felipe,

Adopted 8-21-20

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

“Felipe joined our feral cat colony recently but turned out to be a friendly cat who just wanted to come in the back door, so he probably belonged to someone.” That’s what the staff at the vet clinic said about me (I guess they tipped my ear thinking I was feral). You sure can tell that I’ve been around the block a few times, as for a youngster (they’re guessing about two), I’ve got lots of dings and scars from my “cat wars.” Well, that hasn’t affected my personality one bit, ‘cause I love people, petting, socializing, and just hanging out with you. So, hey, let’s get started on our new lives together soon!

Hi… my name is Shadow,

Adopted 7-10-20

I was roaming around Madera Highlands when I stopped to rest in someone’s front yard. Before I knew it, a lady took me into her home and introduced me to her two children and the family dog. For three days, while she tried to find my home, I enjoyed their company. I can use the doggie door and sit on command. The lady said I’m playful and cuddly and ride well in a car. Since I arrived at TALGV, it was discovered I’m good on a leash, and okay in a crate. I’m certain there are many other attributes to be discovered. I’m an approximately 10-month-old Blue Heeler mix and I’m ready for a new home. Please be part of my future and make an appointment to meet face to face.

Hi… my name is Brooke,

Adopted 7-6-20

I was found tied outside “The Attic” at TALGV. I arrived with a bag of food and a bowl of water. The store was closed but luckily a volunteer was coming in to work and figured I wasn’t there to shop. I’m a sweet, approximately 1-year-old Lab/ Shepherd mix female. I found out immediately how friendly everyone is. I was also fortunate enough to arrive in time for breakfast. Everyone went to work making me comfortable and even showed me how to use a doggie door. Now I have a private room with my own yard and toys to play with. It seems they have some kind of school here to teach pups like me and find us new homes. Please make an appointment to meet me because I would love my own forever home.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Gucci,

Adopted 12-5-20

Hey, it’s not just humans that are sorely tired of being quarantined – my friend, Dior, and I are too! Shortly after we arrived, we ended up with bouts of ringworm and had to be isolated for weeks until it cleared up (and I had a bum leg, so needed a cast too) so we didn’t get a lot of that wonderful hands-on people time. Now that we’re both good as new, we’re still living in just one room (but we’re allowed visitors!), so I’m imploring some wonderful person to give us homes where we can have a WHOLE HOUSE (and windows!) to ourselves where we can become the loving companions we were meant to be!

Hi… my name is Mr. Bert,

Adopted 8-6-20

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

It’s hard for many cats to adjust to new lives when their owners die, but it’s doubly hard on us seniors, and it’s certainly true for my housemate, Gracie, and me. It’s not easy for a big (20 pound!) guy like me to keep a low profile, but I’m doing my best! The volunteers tell me that things will be okay one of these days, so I’d really like to believe that. I’ll bet it would be lots easier for me to adapt to a new home with Gracie by my side, so won’t you consider giving two sweet, quiet, older felines a new start? (Oh, and we both have Vet Care Support for Life!).
