Hi… my name is Camper,

Adopted with Burt 7-3-20

Since arriving at TALGV in 2017 as a terrified stray, I’ve evolved from a don’t-even-look-at-me kind of guy to one who enjoys soft words, petting, and brushing. I’m still shy (I’ll never be the “meeter and greeter” type), but I have a peaceable soul, get along with other cats (especially my friend, Burt, who are what, in the neighborhood, you’d call “bros”). I often help make new cats feel more comfortable in their new circumstances, and when others hiss at me, I just turn and walk away. I’m so hoping there’s a patient cat person out there who’ll help me (and maybe Burt too?) remember what it’s like to be loved in a real home.

HERCULES is a friendly and curious 9-year-old Miniature Long-Haired Dachshund with a handsome red coat. He needs a new home as owner is moving and cannot take him. He weighs 15 pounds, has been neutered, shots are up to date, and he is in excellent health. Hercules is house broken but does not ask to go out because he is accustomed to walking three times a day (he is leash trained and is a tireless walker!). He gets along with other dogs but not with cats; children are unknown. Hercules is a great traveler and does not like to be left alone, but he is happy to stay with dog sitter when needed. There is no adoption fee.

If you would welcome Hercules into your heart and home, please call Chris between 8 AM and 8 PM at 520-904-3525.

Hi… my name is Fluffy,

Adopted 3-7-17

When my mom gave my housemate, Priscilla, and me to her friend when she moved, she thought I’d be able to stay forever, but the three resident cats immediately got their collective noses out of joint, so we only got to stay for a week. Priscilla and I really tried since we’d lived with other cats and a dog before, but it was just a “no go.” My foster mom said that I’m gentle, quiet, have impeccable house manners, love to play with toys, especially my “battered” mouse, and am loving to family and curious with strangers. So…as a handsome, longhaired 3-year-old boy (not quite “gentleman” yet!), I’d like to propose a merger, one that will yield great rewards for us both!

Hi… my name is Lucas,

My canine buddy Cabo and I know the meaning of true friendship. When we were found at a Circle K, he had a chain collar embedded in his neck and although I couldn’t get it out, I kept licking that site, trying to help. When a veterinarian did remove the chain, we were both relieved! We’re 2-year-old Shepherd/Heeler mix males; I’m black and white, about 46 pounds, and these days each of us is having fun with our new people friends—some of whom teach us helpful dog lessons. Oh, we may bark at strangers at first, but we welcome friendly visitors—sometimes with dog kisses and invitations to play! Won’t you come see? Perhaps we can share the gift of loyalty, a feel-good thing that can last forever and make us all happy!
