Hi… my name is Tinsley,
Adopted June 25, 2016
“A lovely dog,” is how my former people described me, and I like to think they were talking about more than just my gorgeous black, white and brown coat. They called me “sweet,” too, and said I played gently with the kids, but they couldn’t keep me after the father’s schedule changed and one of the children’s allergies increased significantly. Disappointing, yes, but I believe in a long, happy future. I’m just 1 year old, an Aussie/Shepherd mix female who’s a nice size at about 47 pounds. Being an easy-going dog, I enjoy a calm environment and going on walks is one of my favorite things (although I admit to chasing lizards on occasion). I’d love to meet you and chances are we might even love each other, so won’t you please visit today!

To be given away can be hurtful, especially when it’s not your fault. When my former people brought me to TALGV with three other family dogs, they said lots of good things about me, including that I’m gentle and tolerant with children. They said I’m a loyal, smart dog who know lots of commands—“come here,” “sit,” “eat,” “no,” and “lay down.” At 9 years old, I still enjoy lots of physical activity (I call that play) and walks with you (I’m leash trained). If all this sounds good, won’t you please come see me? I’m a beautiful Shepherd mix female, about 41 pounds, dark brown with touches of black, tan and white, and I’m holding on to the hope that someone wonderful does want a great companion like me. Could it be you?

Hi… my name is Oregano,
Adopted July 18, 2016
Okay, I guess I have to fess up: I seem to prefer women and dogs to kids and men! At least that’s what my mom said when she returned me after six months. I arrived at TALGV when I was a baby (with my four other spice-themed siblings), and I had high hopes that my new home was going to be the forever kind. Sadly, that didn’t work out so I once again have high hopes that there’s just the perfect place for me ‘cause they say there’s a home for every pet somewhere in the world — you’ve just got to find the perfect fit! With my bespattered black and white fur and random abstract markings, I’m a “looker” too, so won’t you give me one more chance?

Here’s what they knew about me when I was found with a crudely lettered note: “Two years old, very sweet, very pregnant, her name is Delila.” Not a whole lot to go on, but they got it all right – I was/am all those things! I lived with a wonderful volunteer until my babies were weaned, and she said, “Delila is an absolute love. She adores being brushed and scratched, is crazy for belly rubs, and will sleep above your head and warm yours ears on cold winter nights [I was found in February!]. She’s black with a beautiful chocolate undercoat, so we’re thinking she’s a Chantilly cat.” Well, I’m very special in any case, so why not make my foster mom’s day and give me a home as wonderful as hers was!

After my mom, Delila, was found (very “with children”!), she lived with a wonderful volunteer until my siblings, Bryson, Bonnie, Carmen, and I were born and weaned. Now that we’ve attained the ripe old age of 2 months and weigh 2 pounds (the old “2/2” rule for kittens!), we’re ready to move on with life. My foster mom said, “Erica is just like her mom, black with a chocolate and charcoal undercoat. She is the biggest of the kittens and the most kicked back.” Well, I may be quiet, but I’m still “all kitten and twice as nice” and I’m unusual in any case, so won’t you make my foster mom’s day and give me a home as wonderful as hers was!

When my housemate, Diamond, and I started hearing the dreaded “divorce” word, we had a sinking feeling that it might not end well for us. Sad to say it didn’t, as mom had to move to an apartment that didn’t allow pets, and dad couldn’t take us either, so we’re “back to the drawing board” in search of new homes. Mom said that I love playing with laser lights, pipe cleaners, am very “kittenlike,” and that I sometimes I think I’m a dog (I’m not quite sure what that means!). I love people (although don’t “do” kids very well), and at just 2 years old, I’ve got tons of living to do, so why not share the joy and do it together!
