Hi… my name is Little Girl.

Adopted October 19, 2016

When you come to shelter with ten other cats, all of which are black (except one!), you figure your chances at getting adopted are petty slim! Well, I’m hoping that TALGV is the special place it is and proves that concept wrong by making sure our attributes and individual virtues are “out there” for all to see! We came from an overcrowded situation, so we’re all keeping pretty low profiles at the moment, but in no time our “real selves” are sure to emerge. I’m said to be very shy at the moment (but just give me a chance — I know that’s not the “real me”!), am four years old, and am looking for someone special to whisk me away to a new life!

I’m said to be the “sweetest” of the bunch (but just wait, I’m sure to have competition!), who loves petting and being with people. I’m a handsome shiny black youngster, with a glint of white here and there, and am looking for you to whisk me away to a new life!

Hi… my name is Sidney.

Adopted May 24, 2015

They’re calling me a Lab mix, but being a lightweight with “shortish” legs, there may be a bit of Doxie hiding in me, too! Whatever the mix, I am a sweet and happy boy who was found running on Nogales Highway (that’s part of the reason I’m happy — it was pretty busy out there!). I adore greeting visitors, who I can cajole into petting me, and then do my best to convince them that life will be ever so much more exciting with me by your side. (I’ve been overnighting with a foster mom and she says I’m totally enjoying being able to stretch my legs and experience home life with adult dogs!) I’m only about 9 months old, so we’ve got many years ahead of us to discover what great pals we are!

Hi… my name is Oreo.

Adopted May 24, 2015

Yippee! I’m soooo happy to have finally arrived at TALGV! I was found way back in April, and since they didn’t have enough space for larger dogs at the time, I was boarded at a kennel for over a month, so I didn’t get to spend a whole lot of “people time” there. At first glance, you might wonder how I got my name since I’m 99% black, but once you see the white icing “filling” on my chest, you’ll understand why they couldn’t have called me anything else! I’m a happy-go-lucky gal, have nice leash manners, and am at a great age (10 months) for learning all sorts of new stuff (the volunteers are working on that), so when you meet me, I’ll bet you’ll resolve to make this cookie your very own!

Hi… my name is Rocky.

Adopted April 24, 2015.

I’ll let my foster mom tell you about me, ‘cause I couldn’t toot my own horn any better! “Rocky is an energetic, fun-loving pup. He gets along great with two big, female dogs who weigh over 60 pounds. He is crate-trained, rides well in the car, is a good eater, and sleeps through the night. He appears to be housetrained, understands ‘no,’ loves to walk, and has no problem keeping up with the ‘pack.’ Because he’s still a teething pup, he needs to be supervised around things he might chew. He loves to explore the back yard, and doesn’t seem to be a digger. Like all puppies he’ll benefit from obedience training and exposure to lots of social settings. He seems to love everyone and everything!” What more can I say except come adopt me?

Hi… my name is Donovan.

Adopted September 2, 2015

My mom was one of those people who ended up with an awful lot of pets because she never met a stray she didn’t like! Well, I guess I put her over the top, as I’m a pretty big guy, so I’m anxious to find a new place with lots of space to “strut my stuff.” My mom said, “Donovan is a gentle giant who loves to come in the house. He’s a good watchdog and loves animals and kids. Please take good care of him!” I’m a black Lab/Staffie mix boy who will be sure to thank you every day for giving me a chance.
