Hi… my name is Beans.

I was adopted April 30, 2014.

It should be written somewhere that when a divorce occurs, someone in the family has to be responsible for keeping the family cat! My people tried to “rehome” me, but my presence at TALGV indicates that they didn’t have any success. In the time that I lived with them, I got along great with the kids and the resident dog and they said that I’m a “super, super, super” sweet and loving girl. I’m solid black, young (adopted from the Humane Society when I was just a classic wee ball of fluff), and although I’m sometimes a bit shy, I really do enjoy a good romp now and then. I do have one “negative” however, and that’s that I’m allergic to shots, but I’ve been an indoor girl all my life so I’m healthy as can be. If you come meet me, you’ll discover how much you’ve been missing without me!

Hi… my name is Benny.

I was adopted August 25, 2014.

When my mom died, a neighbor called TALGV and they came to rescue my two feline friends, Sylvester, Tabster, and my canine pal, Flicka from our home. We were really glad for that, as who knows where we might have ended up had she not intervened. I’m a handsome, medium-haired solid black boy, and having lived with other cats and a dog, I’d probably fit into just about any kind of household (I don’t remember whether there were kids around, but I’ll bet that if they were gentle with me, I’d be okay with them, too). The volunteers here say that I’m affectionate (just take it easy with me at first) and love being petted so I’m betting that I’d bring an undeniable joie de vivreto your life! My other friends have all been adopted so it’s my turn now!

Hi… my name is Dinah.

I was adopted by my friends at TALGV. I am the official Cat Care Mascot.

My two feline friends, Luella, Bobby Cat, and I had to come to TALGV to find new homes because our mom had developed such severe allergies that she could hardly breathe. Our little home was busy as can be with four kids (ranging in age from 7 to 9 months!) and two dogs, so you can be certain that we are adaptable, gentle and tolerant cats. I’m a beautiful, chubby, declawed, longhaired calico lady and my mom said, “Dinah is very laid back, sweet and loving, and she will purr whenever you pet her.” The only “problem” behavior that she cited was that I got on the furniture, but to my mind, that’s really where I should be — right there next to (or on!) you. Because of my age, I qualify for TALGV’s Vet Care for Life program, so there’s no reason you shouldn’t make me your own right now!

Hi… my name is Mr. October.

My siblings and I arrived at TALGV back in July, and because there were twelve of us, we all got “month” names! At the time, no one tried to match our names to our sex, so some of us have “girl” names (like April and June who are really guys!), but some of us got lucky and have “unisex” names! Because of our not-so-stellar beginnings, all of us came down with a few ailments when we were small, but now we’re all better and growing into lovely medium- and longhaired lovers. I’m a handsome solid black boy who is just as playful as the dickens (having a lot of brothers and sisters to romp with is WAY fun!), but I’d really like to have my own family and home where I can grow into the fantastic feline I’m destined to be. Wouldn’t you like to make that happen for me?

Hi… my name is Tango.

I was adopted on April 29, 2014.

My sister, Gizmo, and I lived with our mom since we were born on May 17, 2005. Sadly, her health now dictates the she needs to move back east to live with family, and we weren’t able to go along, so we’re hoping we’ll find another wonderful person to spend the rest of our lives with. We’re Border collie mixes and here’s a bit of what mom said about us: “Gizmo and Tango are like Siamese twins and have never been apart from the moment they were born. Even though they’ve only been around each other, I think once they meet another dog, they’d be fine.” Neither one of us is very fond of thunderstorms, but if you take us both (which we are really hoping you do!) with your help we can comfort each other during the monsoon season, and then we can have the rest of the year to be just plain wonderful companions!

Note: Because of my age I qualify for TALGV’s Senior Vet-Care-for-Life program.

Sadly, her health now dictates the she needs to move back east to live with family, and we weren’t able to go along, so we’re hoping we’ll find another wonderful person to spend the rest of our lives with. We’re beautiful black and white Border collie mixes, and here’s a bit of what mom said about us: “Gizmo and Tango are like Siamese twins and have never been apart from the moment they were born. P.S. Because of my age I qualify for TALGV’s Senior Vet-Care-for-Life program.

Hi… my name is Casey.

My dad went into assisted living and the only thing the people who brought me here said about me was “indoor cat!” Well, I am declawed, after all — although ALL cats should be indoors here in Arizona! What I CAN tell you is that even though I have a “cauliflower ear” (which just really adds to my uniqueness!), I’m a beautiful, longhaired calico lady, who checked out pretty well “health-wise” when I first arrived, and since I’m in the “over 10” category, I qualify for TALGV’s “Vet Care for Life” program!. I weigh just a little over 9 pounds (there’s more fur than body!), and since I lived with a senior citizen, I’m probably going to want to have a fairly quiet home again (but, hey, you never know do you?)! Why not come by and meet me — I’ll bet love will be just around the corner for you!

Hi… my name is Chess.

My little family is moving out of the country, and with all the rules and regulations (and quarantine) involved in bringing an animal with them, they felt that it would be easier on me if I found a new home. I’m a beautiful black Lab mix girl who has lived with three kids ages 7, 8, and 9 months (so you know I’ll be good around children) and I get along fine with other animals, too. My dad said that I LOVE walks (they’re good for the physique, you know — both mine and yours!), and also like to play fetch, although I haven’t gotten the “bring it back” part down pat yet. I’m perfectly housebroken (I use a doggie door or “ask”), am crate trained, and walk like a lady on a leash. So all you need to do now is make room for me in your life, and we’ll all be happy!

Hi… my name is Rafferty.

I was adopted on June 30, 2014.

There are lots of interesting places between Esperanza Boulevard and Duval Mine Road, but I was too close to Interstate 19 to be able to check them out before a lovely lady picked me up and saved me from anything bad happening. Where I came from is a mystery, but in the short time she had me, she said that I had a sweet disposition and the volunteers here seem to agree. Although I can be a bit shy on first meeting you, I warm up to people really quickly. I’ve had a run all to myself for a while, so they’re still working on finding out my “social skills” with other dogs, but I’m doing pretty well walking on leash so I’m sure all my other qualities will become evident in no time. I’m an interesting young Boxer/terrier mix with black/tan/brindle coloring, so come meet me and see how terrific I am for yourself!
