Animal League News

Hi… my name is Luna,

Adopted 4-30-22

I am a Treeing Walker Coonhound, and although no longer a puppy, I still have lots of energy to run and chase. I am currently staying with foster parents who have a nice, big yard and another dog with whom I get along well. But they say that I can’t stay because I’m not at all fond of their cats and look at them as prey. (Sigh.) I am well behaved on a leash, but I am a strong girl and need a strong person to walk with me. I love being with all kinds of people, and I love learning new things. I already know the “sit,” “down” and “stay” commands. My favorite place is next to my human, giving and receiving affection. Will you be my very own human?

Bob

Hi… my name is Bob,

Adopted with Pewter 3-31-22

I guess I jumped into the right person’s backyard, because she brought me to The Animal League after a few days. During those few days with her I behaved very well. The lady learned that I like belly and ear rubs, love to play, and am talkative. I sometimes get so excited when I’m playing that I will give a nip. I was around other cats and got along okay. I’m a sharp black and white tuxedo boy with handsome green eyes. I like action. I have lots of playtime ahead of me, and I’d like it to be with you!

Hi… my name is Martin,

Adopted 6-4-22

I am a handsome fellow who wears three white shoes and one white sock. Compact, not too big, not too small, I look a bit like a Rottweiler and a bit like a Chihuahua. (What? You can’t see the Chihuahua?) I may come across as standoffish at first. That’s because not all the people I’ve met were nice. But since I am sure you are, just give me a bit of time and you’ll see my true colors. No—not brown, black and white! But sweet, fun-loving, and loyal. I am learning commands, too. I know “sit,” and “wait,” and I’m starting to understand how to politely walk on leash without pulling. I like learning stuff. Makes my brain work, you know? When we go home together, will you teach me more?

Hi… my name is Lumpy,

Adopted 5-20-22

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

They say that all good things must come to an end, and so it was with my happy home. My human mom had to move and couldn’t take me with her. So here I am waiting for another human to love. My mom said I love companionship and cuddling, get along great with dogs, and have interacted well with other cats. If children play too rough with me, I get a little moody. So, a quiet home I is what I prefer. If you’re looking for a docile companion, then I’m your guy!
