A kind man rescued me and brought me to The Animal League. Meals have been regular here and I’m grateful. The life of a stray can have its challenges. Despite all the drama, I’m a friendly girl who leans into pets. My fur is a bit coarse, so I’d welcome some regular grooming, please. I do have gorgeous green eyes that smile. Have you admired my unique coat yet? I’m a gorgeous blotchy white and grey Ragdoll. I lived in a home with dogs and my former owner says I’m a very nice cat. I experienced stresses in my life before arriving at TALGV. This showed up in inappropriate litter box behaviors. Now that I am living at TALGV, I’m doing much better. I’m a little shy right now but have warmed up quickly with the volunteers who like to pet and brush my soft coat. I approach them and purr. Do you have a home in need of my presence? I’m a gentle, thoughtful girl who prefers to take life at a slower, quieter pace. I’ve been feeling a bit scared in the shelter, so I’m now staying in a calm foster home with an older, laid-back dog while I decompress and figure things out. Honestly? It’s been a relief. When the shelter volunteers tried to introduce me to a friendly dog, I let them know I wasn’t ready yet. I believe in boundaries. Shy dogs like me need time to build trust and that trust is worth waiting for. I learn best by watching the world before jumping into it, taking notes from the sidelines. With patience, kindness, and consistency, I know I’ll come out of my shell. I may be quiet at first, but my loyalty runs deep.

I’m a gentle girl with a brave little heart that’s been through a lot this year. After my dad passed away, I felt unsure of the world and sometimes wandered off looking for the comfort I’d lost. I always came home, but my owner worried something might happen to me, so she brought me here to find a new family who is home more often. While shy at first, a friendly dog roommate helped me to come out of my shell. Yeah, my head enters the room a full three seconds before the rest of my body. People wonder if doorways need to be widened for me to fit through. In reality, the only thing “impactful” about me is my snuggle game. I came to TALGV when my family lost their home, and suddenly my whole world changed. I’m still figuring it out—new smells, new friends, and this magical thing called a “walk.” Speaking of walks, since I’m built like a tank, I sometimes steer like one, too. But I’m mastering my leash manners and impressing everyone with my progress. I’ve not been a fan of meeting other dogs thus far, but I may not have met the right one yet.
