Hi… my name is Snooky,

I’m a gentle, thoughtful girl who prefers to take life at a slower, quieter pace. I’ve been feeling a bit scared in the shelter, so I’m now staying in a calm foster home with an older, laid-back dog while I decompress and figure things out. Honestly? It’s been a relief. When the shelter volunteers tried to introduce me to a friendly dog, I let them know I wasn’t ready yet. I believe in boundaries. Shy dogs like me need time to build trust and that trust is worth waiting for. I learn best by watching the world before jumping into it, taking notes from the sidelines. With patience, kindness, and consistency, I know I’ll come out of my shell. I may be quiet at first, but my loyalty runs deep.

Hi… my name is Maddox,

Life changed suddenly for my sister and me when our family had to return us because of allergies. She has already found her forever home, and now I’m patiently waiting for mine. I’m a handsome Lab mix who enjoys the good things in life — daily walks, polite manners, and hanging with my people. I’m house-trained, walk nicely on leash, and know commands like sit, down, leave it, and wait. I may be a little unsure at first, but once I feel safe, my sweet, affectionate personality shines. I’ve also discovered my confidence increases with a friendly female dog around. My foster buddy and I love to wrestle and play. I’m not a fan of male dogs, but with patience and a friendly female canine resident, I’ll be a loyal, devoted companion. (2-2026)

Hi… my name is Ruby,

Adopted 1/21-26

SINCE RUBY IS 10 YEARS OLD, SHE COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

I’m a gentle girl with a brave little heart that’s been through a lot this year. After my dad passed away, I felt unsure of the world and sometimes wandered off looking for the comfort I’d lost. I always came home, but my owner worried something might happen to me, so she brought me here to find a new family who is home more often. While shy at first, a friendly dog roommate helped me to come out of my shell. As a canine companion, I’m the perfect mix of energy and relaxation: I love going for walks, stretching my legs with a good run, and then snuggling into a quiet, cozy spot beside you. I come with TALGV’s vet care support for life! I get along with other animals and know basic manners. Mostly, I just want to feel like I’m home again.

Hi… my name is Meteor,

Adopted 12-22-25

Yeah, my head enters the room a full three seconds before the rest of my body. People wonder if doorways need to be widened for me to fit through. In reality, the only thing “impactful” about me is my snuggle game. I came to TALGV when my family lost their home, and suddenly my whole world changed. I’m still figuring it out—new smells, new friends, and this magical thing called a “walk.” Speaking of walks, since I’m built like a tank, I sometimes steer like one, too. But I’m mastering my leash manners and impressing everyone with my progress. I’ve not been a fan of meeting other dogs thus far, but I may not have met the right one yet. If you’ve got space in your heart, I’d love to meteor-shower you with love.

Hi… my name is Sadie,

Adopted 11-25-25

Ever show up on someone’s porch and accidentally stay for two months? Yeah… that was me. I wandered into a kind home in Rio Rico, but it turned out I needed more room to bloom, so they brought me to TALGV to find my perfect match. At first, I was so shy I practically tried to blend into the wall. Then—bam!—I got a roommate, and suddenly I had my very own emotional support canine friend. With a new buddy by my side, I discovered people aren’t scary at all. Now I greet my human friends with full-body wiggles and happily trot out on walks with both two- and four-legged pals. I’m still figuring out who I’ll become, but one thing’s certain—I’d really love to meet YOU.

Hi… my name is Buddy,

Adopted 11-29-25

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

I’m a gentle soul with a big heart, just waiting to meet my forever person. Life’s been confusing lately—my human passed away—but I know there’s someone out there who’s ready to love me as much as I’ll love them. At first, I might be a little shy. It takes me a couple of weeks to relax and trust, but once I do, my eyes will tell you how grateful I am. I’m the kind of pup who just wants to be near you, quietly keeping you company and soaking up every bit of kindness. I’m housetrained and, like most dogs, might need a little time to learn the routine in a new home—but I’ll get it quickly. I walk nicely on a leash, rarely bark, and promise to fill your days with calm, loyal love. Bonus: I come with Vet Care Support for Life!

Hi… my name is Summer,

Friends make ALL the difference! When I first arrived at TALGV, I was scared and unsure after being found alone. Kind people helped me heal, but it took time before I believed life could feel safe again. Then I went to a foster home with my buddy Maddox—and everything started to change. With him by my side, my tail hasn’t stopped wagging! We love to wrestle, explore on our daily walks, and relax together after playtime. Having a dog friend helps me feel brave. I’m potty trained, sleep peacefully in my crate, and know commands like sit, down, and wait. I’m also practicing my leash skills and learning fun new tricks. A calm, patient home with a friendly dog (like Maddox) would help me keep blossoming all year long.
