Hi… my name is Rachel,

Adopted September 3, 2016

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

After living with my mom for six years, her husband (I refuse to call him “dad”) said, “I don’t like cats, get rid of her.” (I whispered a different suggestion in her ear, but that didn’t work!). Since I’m a “senior” lady who has detached retinas and doesn’t see too well, I’m living with a foster mom at the moment, and adjusting just fine. My mom said that I was quiet and laidback but still playful (especially with paper balls and kids!), and love drinking from the faucet. Once I get to know my surroundings, I’m just like everyone else and you’d never know I have a “handicap” (what’s that?). So…for now, I’m doing pretty well and adapting to a new life. Thank you, foster mom!

Arrived January 15, 2016

PS If you would like to meet Rachel, please call TALGV at 520-625-3170 between 10 and 2 any day.

Hi… my name is Oddie.

Adopted January 23, 2016

TALGV sure has been getting its share of “needy” cats lately! Their Outreach Program was providing medical assistance for me for quite some time as I had a broken jaw and scabs, rashes, and sores all over my body. To add insult to injury, I tested positive for FIV, but none of that has made a dent in my outgoing nature, sweetness, and love of attention (all that handling during my medical care had a positive effect!). Now my catnaps every day are filled with dreams of a home where I can be the only guy (or one among any number of other FIV positive felines), where my struggles will be but a distant memory and I can greet every day with a rub and purr just for you!

Arrived March , 2015

PS If ANY cat considers you for adoption, you know you’re pretty lucky, but if one of our few FIV cats picks you, you can be sure you’re REALLY special!

NOTE: FIV is a virus that can only be passed among cats (humans or dogs are never affected), and only through blood. Since cats rarely fight to the degree of drawing blood, FIV positive cats can live long and healthy lives with both other FIV positive cats and friendly non-FIV cats. So don’t let those letters scare you — they’re practically like everyone else and they’ll love you even more for choosing them!

Hi… my name is Jingles.

Adopted July 31, 2105

If there’s one thing I learned during my life on the streets, it’s that there are things that are way better than the great outdoors! Like three squares and a cozy lap for instance! When the nice lady who had been feeding me for a few weeks decided to keep me, I thought I’d really gotten lucky, but unfortunately I didn’t want to share her affection with the resident dog, so she decided I needed a person and home where I could be top cat. As a typically outgoing young buff tabby boy, I’m going to have many years ahead of me to make up for all that lovin’ I missed out on while I was “pawloose” and fancy free!

Arrived January 31, 2015.
