Animal League News

Hi… my name is Ariel,

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION WITH BONDED COMPANION ACE

Fearful and timid, my bonded mate Ace and I peer out of our cubby when volunteers enter the room.  Our young lives have been in a whirl ever since we were found in Oklahoma City and brought to The Animal League. What’s our story? We lived in a foster home with a human couple and other resident cats, but no dogs or children visited. My human mom said that I liked to play with small toys, sit in my cat tree close to Ace, and sleep close to Ace in the den. We desire a safe home with patient humans to care for us.  Is that you?  We sure hope so!

Hi… my name is Peanut,

Friendly? Check. Beautiful? Check. Playful? Check.  Lap cat? Check. I”m one perfect, petite cat who is just waiting to meet you. My mama and I were found under a bush in a front yard in Rancho Sahuarita. We must have been dumped there.   Although our rescuer posted our whereabouts online, no one claimed us, so she wisely brought us to The Animal League. My mama is pregnant so will be cared for in a foster home. However, I am ready to be adopted! I have so much playfulness in me and am just so cute that you will want to take me home with you! I would love that! Please come in and let’s make a deal.

Hi… my name is Chenille,

Adopted 5-14-23

When you come to meet me at The Animal League, you may find me resting in a cubby. I am the mama of the Yarn Litter. I was a good mama in caring for my babies, but now it’s “me-time.” I’m ready for my own home. It is known that I like to snuggle with my human(s) and scratch on my cat tree. I had free reign of their big house with no interest in going outside. Why? I had the “good life” with my family; why would I want to leave? Too many cats in that home caused me to be brought here. I understand.  I’m waiting for my next home; could that be yours?

Hi… my name is Basil,

Adopted 1-13-23

Would you like to meet the sweetest cat who has the softest fur? Well, here I am! I gave birth to my kittens at a kind woman’s apartment in Rio Rico. Since she couldn’t care for us, she brought us to The Animal League. My kittens have found their own homes, so now I’m hoping for one of my own.  I had a home  for a few months where I loved to cuddle with my person and play with scrunchy toys. Sadly, my human developed serious health problems and could no longer care for me. If you want an active, playful cat that’s full of life and love, you MUST meet me!

Hi… my name is Baby,

Adopted 8-29-20

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life.

I lost my first two moms to assisted living facilities, and happily a lovely lady adopted me a third time, but I was terrified of the big dog, so I need one more chance! My most recent mom said, “I need to rehome our sweetheart because she deserves a better life. She’s a good cat, well behaved (no clawing), not a big meower, has an easy purr, and isn’t fussy about her food. Anyone who loves cats will LOVE this one! Anyone who doesn’t love cats, well, they’d love this one, too! She has a piece of my heart.” AND I have vet care support for life, so let me steal a piece of yours!

Hi… my name is Babe (aka Elle),

Adopted 12-10-18

I’ll bet you never thought about green and grey being a simply awesome combination! Well, once you take a gander at me, with my sea green eyes and thick, soft, smoky grey coat, you’ll see what all the fuss is about. And then there’s the purr that comes rumbling out of me after just a few soft head rubs that’s sure to win you over (and lull you to sleep, too!). After my mom’s health began declining it got harder for her to care for me (especially when I started chewing on her oxygen tube!), so sadly it became time for me to move on. I’m a loving 4½-year-old just looking to brighten another life.
