Animal League News

Hi… my name is Finn,

I’m a happy, fun-loving puppy, and my time spent lost and alone didn’t change that. I was a young stray—no collar or tags, without a home or a friend—when I wandered into a stranger’s yard. Since I got along with their dogs (a Heeler mix and a Schnauzer), they kindly let me stay for a week, but when left outside, I did jump the fence. Now I’m here, and although I still need a home, I’m having fun: I like going on walks (and behave myself very well on a leash), love being with people, and enjoy all the compliments about my sweet nature and adorable looks. I’m a golden color male, probably a Retriever/Spaniel mix, and cute as can be. Could I be the one for you?

Hi… my name is Jordy,

Adopted February 11, 2016

All of us at TALGV have unique stories, but mine is kind of familiar, too. I was adopted as an innocent puppy, and then, as puppies tend to do, I grew; in my case, I grew a lot! And during those growing months, my training was only just begun. Now I’m back, a 1-year-old big guy, hoping for that all-important second chance at my forever home. I’m a handsome (so they tell me), cream-colored Lab mix male, playful and outgoing with energy to spare. I’m also strong, so my person needs to be strong, too, and willing to continue my training on how to become your fun, well-behaved companion. I’m eager to earn your praise, so what do you say? Could the happy ending to my story be as close as you?

Hi… my name is Vail.

Adopted 10-20-14

The layoffs at the Sierrita mine have affected more than people -– we pets have our future in jeopardy too – just like what happened a few years ago with the economic downturn. My little family was caught up in that situation, so finances being tight, felt they couldn’t afford three pets any longer. Since I was not overly fond (that’s being generous!) of their other cat and dog, they figured I’d be way happier in a quiet home where I could be queen bee. I’m a fairly independent gal, but maybe that’s because I had so much competition in my home, so I’m guessing if it’s just you and me and my beloved cat tree, my personality may even outshine my beauty! Won’t you give me a chance to prove that?
