Stray. That word conjures up sad times for me and my buddy Rumple. We were found outside our rescuer’s house. How did we get there? No one knows. What IS known is that at The Animal League I’m a friendly guy who wants a home of my own. It’s best that I’m an ONLY PET. Although I get along okay with other felines at the shelter, I did not get along with another cat who was adopted along with me. In that home, I was outgoing and a greeter. They said I was street-smart and intelligent. I liked to play with toys. I appreciated their attention. With that said, if you want an only pet, I’m yours!

“Look at those awesome eyes!” That’s what they said when I arrived – and one look and you’ll know they weren’t just “whistlin’ Dixie!” Sometimes they look coppery and sometimes a glowing green. I don’t really live up to my name. I hang out in a soft cubby here but am easily coaxed out and will rub your legs for attention. I like being petted and don’t mind being picked up. I’ve lived in two different homes, and through no fault of my own I find myself looking for a new one now. In my middle age I believe I could be your best companion! Come on by and look into my eyes.

Although I came to The Animal League as a stray, my foster mom has lots to tell about me! (She prefers to call me “Henry!”) She said that I love attention and am a lap cat. I purr, purr, purr. I will always have a limp because of an old injury (perhaps hit by a car), but that doesn’t slow me down when I run and play. I’m resilient! Although my face may be a little crooked, I eat well. I’m a cuddler! Just ask any TALGV volunteer. When my foster mom brings me in, I’m passed from one volunteer to another. I love to be hugged! I’m sweet and energetic, just waiting to meet you! I am “bright-eyed and bushy tailed”—no, make that “bright-eyed and striped tail!” I have lovely markings. I’m a petite young lady who is curious and alert about all that goes on around me. You may find me perched in a cat condo watching birds outside the catio. I love to be petted. I’m just getting used to volunteers brushing my sleek fur coat. Found in the trailer park south of Duval Road in Green Valley, I was more than happy to come to The Animal League. Here I have food, water, and a comfy bed provided. Hi… my name is Timmy,

When mom died no one knew what to do with me. Luckily a nice neighbor took me in temporarily, and she brought me here to The Animal League. I wasn’t too happy at first but now I see that this is a nice place. I like to hang out on the “catio” on a low perch and watch the world go by—I’m kind of low maintenance. I like petting and brushing but nix on being picked up or held. I have white on my face, chest and feet, and the rest is a nice grey stripe. I’d like to find a permanent place to hang out—do you have a spot for me?
