Hi… my name is Amigo,

Adopted by previous owner 7-17-19

“This cat began frequenting our yard last winter. He disappeared in the spring, and then showed up again, thin and dirty, so we gave him food and brought him to TALGV. He may have belonged to people in the neighborhood behind us, and our concern is that they moved and took him, but he came back to where he thought his home was.” Well, I guess that’s as good a story as any, but I’d like to add that I’m enjoying the good life here for now, but would sure like a home of my own again where I won’t have to worry about my next meal and I can get lots of much-deserved love!

Hi… my name is Kucing (aka Nutmeg),

Adopted with Tuaca 8-18-19

It’s kind of depressing when one of your people isn’t enormously fond of you, but that’s what happened for me (and my friend, Tuaca). After my beloved dad died, mom quickly brought us here because she simply wasn’t a “cat person” and no longer wanted to care for us. Well, I’m betting there are LOTS of cat people in the area who’d love to care for a sweet, diminutive, 8-year-old gal like me. (I’m on a special diet, so that’s the only “extra care” I need!). I’m tossing my hat in the adoption ring in hopes that you’ll fall really hard, and that won’t happen unless you come meet me, so get a move on!

Hi… my name is Piper (aka Kits),

Adopted 9-21-19

Everyone loves a newborn, and I did, too, but when mine arrived, my family didn’t have enough time for me and felt I needed the chance to find a home where I’d be more “in the spotlight.” They said, “We named him Piper, but always call him “Kits” and that what he responds to. He LOVES attention and to be around other cats and dogs, is very vocal (he’ll tell you when he’s hungry or bored), is very energetic, and his favorite toys are hair ties. He’s the perfect cat if you need someone to talk to or play with – almost like a dog.” I sound perfect to me so what more could you want?

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

Don’t let anyone tell you that being toothless is a hindrance to eating! And of course there’s a positive – I’ll never have to worry about dental issues again! My mom’s health issues precluded her keeping me, but she said that although independent, I love “making biscuits” in your lap, enjoy scratching posts and cat towers, and will happily toss a small toy in the air for your (and my!) amusement. Since I’m FIV-positive, I have free vet care and need to be your “only child” (or live with another FIV-positive cat), but with my silky coat and winning ways, I know that your life will be a whole lot more exciting once I’m in it!

Hi… my name is Stedman,

Adopted 9-13-19

I’ll bet there are many pets who shudder when they hear that their people have “health issues,” ‘cause that usually means a big change is coming in their lives! Well, that’s what happened to me, but mom left lots of information about my personality: I’m playful with feathery wands, catnip-sprayed toys and bouncy “there’s-a-treat-hidden-inside” games. I’m not a lap cat, but am affectionate and like to sit NEXT to you; I “tolerate” small dogs, but don’t like other cats; I’m not a picky eater; and I’d like to sleep with (not on!) you. At about 18 months old, there’s plenty more to learn (and enjoy!) about me, so won’t you give me a chance?

PS My baby photo is posted at the end of the gallery.

Hi… my name is Stash,

Adopted with Sammie 12-8-19

My mom said I can be skittish at first and take a little time to warm up, but once I do, I simply love attention (but not being picked up!), treats, fishing pole toys, and to have my belly rubbed. At heart, I’m a sweet boy who loved my brother (but not female cats). It was those dreaded “landlord issues” that caused us to lose our home, but we were one big happy family once with three kids, and an American bulldog (so maybe things were a smidge too “active!”). I’m a handsome grey and white tabby boy, about 2½ years old, and I’m just sitting here waiting for YOU to appear to take me home!

Hi… my name is Romeo,

Adopted with Juliet 4-9-19

Here’s your chance to give Shakespeare’s tragedy the ending everyone would have liked! My sister (yes, Juliet) and I spent our lives with our family (which included another cat, Benji, and four kids – two who were autistic so we’re pretty mellow!) until they lost their home (that was THEIR tragedy and it became ours, too). It was a life full of activity, togetherness, and love. Mom said that l sleep anywhere (and everywhere!), love lasers and human heads (I’m a real “butthead!”), and am a great companion who’s very “attentive.” I’d love to stay with Juliet, so won’t you do a good deed and help give my life and “our story” a happy ending?
