Sox

Hi… my name is Sox,

Adopted August 7, 2016

Okay, I guess if you want to be picky, at 20 pounds you could call me “chunky monkey,” but that really wasn’t MY fault – my mom just fed me a lot and what was a guy to do? After she went into the hospital, the neighbors cared for me for a while hoping she’d be coming home, but when that didn’t happen, they brought my housemate (and maybe sister), Lox, and me to TALGV for “rehoming.” I’m pretty anxious at the moment, as things have been so helter-skelter in my life for a while, but I know with patience, tempered with a lot of love (and probably a diet!), I’ll show you how sweet I’ve always been. Why not help me let my true colors come shining through?

Hi… my name is Diamond,

Adopted June 9, 2016

When my housemate, Barney, and I started hearing the dreaded “divorce” word, we had a sinking feeling that it might not end well for us. Sad to say it didn’t, as mom had to move to an apartment that didn’t allow pets, and dad couldn’t take us either, so we’re “back to the drawing board” in search of new homes. Mom said that I’m a lovely, super laid back lady who loves sleeping with you and putting my head in your arms (attention you cuddle lovers out there — I could be yours for the asking!). I love people (although don’t “do” kids very well), and at just 3 years old, I’ve got tons of living to do, so why not share the joy and do it together!

Hi… my name is Bubba,

Adopted September 1, 2016

It’s a well-known fact that “special needs” cats are almost always extraordinarily sweet and oh-so-special in many ways! In my case, I have limited vision, and although I can see shadows and movement (the vet who examined me said that if Bubba were a person, he’d need a seeing-eye dog!), I still get around just fine (especially once I get to know my surroundings and, truth-be-told, I’d way rather spend time in your lap anyway! I arrived at TALGV with my sister, Blossom, and friends from a shelter that was closing, and although it was a long trip for us, we’ve all settled in and are ready to move on to real homes for the first time in our lives. I hope you’ll be the one to give me mine!

Hi… my name is Lily,

Adopted May 7, 2016

There are allergies and then there are ALLERGIES! And boy did my mom have the latter! She adopted me when I was just a kitten, and has been “hanging in there” over the years with her breathing problems, but when the doctor told her that either she relinquish me or run the risk of dying, well that pretty much did it. I have to give her credit for trying though! She said, “Lily loves to sleep in the sun, drinking from dripping faucets and looking in mirrors, is talkative when she wants a treat or brushing, comes when called, and enjoys sitting in a window watching birds.” I’m a lovely, declawed golden tabby lady, who’d like to spend her second (and final!) act with you sharing life’s joys.

Thanks for looking at my pictures. My biography is under construction. Please stop back again to read about me or… even better… stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Kennels are open 10-2 every day.

Hi… my name is Wollie,

Adopted April 4, 2016

My birth mom was found with a badly mangled leg (which, sadly, required amputation), along with her kittens in Sahaurita. Her wonderful rescuer saw to her medical care and after she recovered, a family in Casa Grande adopted her. That left my brother, Ollie, and me to find new homes, but once you take a gander at us, you’ll undoubtedly be smitten by our looks (if that’s important to you!), but even more by our magnetic personalities! I’m said to be a “bold and outgoing” guy who likes all games, giving kisses, and rubbing faces. I have a gentle temperament and never extend my claws when playing or wrestling (that’s kinda unusual for kittens!), so I know that your life will just have gotten a whole lot more exciting once I’m part of it!

Hi… my name is Jazmin (aka Ping),

Adopted February 21, 2015

When the shelter that I was living in closed, no one was quite sure what was going to happen to all my feline and canine friends, so we were overjoyed when we found out that TALGV would try to make room for us as a few (very precious) spaces opened up. Well we all survived the trip, and are getting settled into our new digs (and a few of us have been adopted already!), so I’m crossing my paws that I’ll be next. I’m a tiny silvery gold and white Siamese mix with awesome blue eyes that will look into your soul. Since I’m still a youngster at only a year old, I know that the many years ahead will be happier for both of us when they’re spent together!

Hi… my name is Jasmine,

Adopted March 2, 2016

To paraphrase Shakespeare, “All the world’s a stage and cats and kittens merely players.” Okay, that’s taking some liberty, but you probably get my point! At only a year old, I dearly love to run around the house playing with those elusive rolling balls and catnip mice – well, toys of any kind actually! I also love to be talked to (and will answer back) and want to “hang” with you all the time if you’ll let me. My dad recently developed asthma, and apparently cat fur is a trigger for him, so here I am, looking for another world to conquer. I get along great with gentle kids (but not those frightening things called dogs), so would love a home where I can let the kitten in me have full sway. How about yours?

Hi… my name is Shiva,

Adopted February 9, 2016

When my unfortunate mom had to go into a homeless shelter, it wasn’t just the calamitous change in her life that devastated her; it was losing her dogs and cats. So knowing that, I hope my friends, Thomas, Baya, and I, can be forgiven for being at sixes and sevens for a while. Mom did say, “Don’t let their anxiety scare you, they are all very friendly and lovable, good with dogs and people, and just want forever families.” As a boy who’s lived with all kinds of critters, you can be sure that once I’ve adjusted to the upheaval in my life, going back to being the loving companion I always was, won’t take more than having a lap, a safe haven, and YOU to make my world right again!

Based on our names, it would appear that semi trucks might have been on my family’s mind when they adopted my brother, Diesel, and me! Well, we both do “truck along” when comes to playing and having lots of energy, so maybe they knew something long before our personalities emerged! We’ve lived with our people (and three dogs that we adored) all our lives, but when twins arrived, they felt we were just too “into” them for comfort (we wanted to spend all our time sleeping with them!), so being the outgoing fellows we are, they knew another lucky family would enjoy our hijinks as much as they did. Mom said I love laser lights, toys, and the occasional cuddle, so if you’re in the market for entertainment, I’m your guy!

Hi… my name is Mario,

Adopted April 10, 2016

My senior mom was one of those people who stray cats just seem to “find”! That’s how my friends, Marcus, Andre, and I came to live with her (people like her must radiate a come hither “aura” for cats in need!). Unfortunately, she went into assisted living and there was no one else to take us in, so our carefree life changed in a big way. We’re all still young however, and even though it takes some felines longer to adjust to different situations than others, we’re adaptable critters at heart, and I know that we’ll learn to share our love with someone new in no time. We love playing with balls, a laser pointer, and ribbons (pretty “cheap dates”!), so won’t you let one (or two?) of us snuggle our way into your heart?
