Hi… my name is Franklin,

Adopted 3-11-18

“Cat found his way into our house through our doggy door – not once, but twice!! Cat is friendly, but we aren’t cat people.” Oh well, their loss (but thank you for rescuing me anyway!). You know for a cat to brave a strange doggy door, he’s got to be pretty desperate – you never know what kind of reception is waiting on the other side – so it’s pretty obvious that I’m yearning to be an indoor kind of guy who’ll never have to wonder where the next meal (or comfy lap) is coming from. I’m a smoky grey and white 3-year-old (or thereabouts!) and I’m hoping that my reward for braving “parts unknown” will be a permanent home with a family that includes lots of “cat people!”

Hi… my name is Fritz,

Adopted with Rosie 8-30-17

Fritz comes with FREE Vet Care for life

My doggie buddy Rosie and I have shared good times and, more recently, tough times. Our dear person became very ill and so after our goodbyes, we were kindly brought here, hopefully as our stepping-stone to a new loving home. I’m 11, Rosie is 12-1/2, and although neither of us runs as fast or jumps as high as we once did, we’re both still active for our ages—playing, making new friends, giving and receiving affection. Oh, relaxing is great—we can be easily entertained and each of us is well versed in loyal companionship. I’m a grey Schnauzer male, about 31 pounds, a sweet guy who comes with FREE Vet Care for Life. So let’s meet soon. You may be pleasantly surprised at how this “mature” dog can very quickly catch your heart.

Hi… my name is Socho,

Adopted 12-21-17

You know it’s really tough when you’ve lived with one person all your life and then they’re not there anymore. My beloved dad is now in hospice care, and I do miss him awfully, but after being at TALGV for just a while, I’m finding that other humans can be pretty interesting and loving, too. I’m a 7-year-old, über-handsome longhaired grey boy, but since I’ve never been around other pets or kids, everyone pretty much agrees that I’d probably like to be a one-person companion again. That doesn’t mean that I’m an old fuddy-duddy, ‘cause I love string toys and have tons of energy, so I’m saving it all up for just you! Come check me out and see all I’ve got to offer!

Hi… my name is Keno,

Adopted with Tango 8-27-17

I guess someone had gambling (or the lottery!) in mind when my littermates, Chance, Dice, Slots and I were named! We were just wee little things when we arrived so went to live with a foster mom until we “made weight” and could come to TALGV to show off our wares. Well, we’ve been languishing here for too long now because there’s just so much competition in the kitten department, but spend some time with any of us (just hunker down and let us “do our purr thing” in your lap!), and you’ll wonder how we got overlooked! “Kitten” pretty much says it all, so why not take two ‘cause we’d be twice the fun!

Hi… my name is Big Casper,

Adopted 10-28-17

It’s wonderful when family can care for each other when the need arises, but unfortunately for me, when my mom moved to be with her father, I couldn’t go too. It was doubly hard since I’d lived with kids and dogs all my life (not cats though, I can be pretty dominant with them). Mom said, “Casper might take a bit to warm up, but once he does, he’ll be in your lap, on the couch, and on the covers at night when you go to bed. He’s been with me since he was a kitten and he’s always been loving and close.” I’m a striking 7½ -year-old declawed Russian Blue/Siamese mix and I’m looking forward to doing all those things and more with you in the future!

Hi… my name is Phoebe,

Adopted 7-16-17

Hard to imagine, but I guess sometimes you can have “too much of a good thing!” Well, that’s what happened with my mom, because her new landlord told her that she’d gone a bit over her pet limit with her dogs and my brother, Holden, and me. (We’ve been together all our lives and are really bonded, so it would be heaven if we could stay together.) Mom said I’m friendly, cuddly, and easygoing, “eat anything” (no picky feline here!), and at just 4 years old, will make a wonderful lap decoration for years to come! I got along with the dogs in the house, too, so with all those pluses, I can’t think of any reason why you wouldn’t want to make me yours!

Hi… my name is Tilly,

Adopted 8-19-17

TALGV sure has a lot of great volunteers! When I first arrived it was apparent that I was soon to be a mama, so I got to go home with one of them until my kittens were born, weaned, and off to new homes. Well, I’m happy to report that my mothering is done (forever!) and now I’m ready to be on my own with a human or two and (and even another critter, since I did “tolerate” them in my foster home!). While not exactly the glued-to-your-lap type, I am affectionate and playful, and I love to check out visitors when they arrive. I’m just two years old, with a charming grey “hat” and tail, and I’d love to “let it all hang out” with you!
