Hi… my name is Pisces,

Adopted 2-3-17

My four sisters and I were “unwanted puppies.” Lucky for us, TALGV people say they don’t even know what that means—that we’re all wanted and loved! And here’s something else I’ve learned: Being a puppy is the definition of having fun! We’re already good at lots of puppy things, like running, jumping, rolling over, playing all day, and pulling your shoelaces. We also eat well and grow without even trying! I’m Pisces—a female with a mainly white coat, some gray speckles and gray ears, and allover sweet. I sure hope you love one of us. Okay, honestly, I hope it’s me, but won’t you come see us all? And if you have the time and patience for a puppy, maybe you can give me the best gift ever: My very own home!

Hi… my name is Homie,

Adopted 2-16-17

“Very sweet, talkative, and attention starved. Homie came from a hoarding situation and didn’t have food at times and rarely received any sort of kindness.” That’s what my foster mom said after she rescued me, but after having me for three weeks, she said that I was really coming out of my shell and craving human interaction. When you’ve lived with twenty-some cats, it’s hard to assert yourself, so I always kept a low profile. Well, that’s something I’d like to fix right quick, so if you have a bit of patience and lots of love in your heart, I promise that you’d make my year! I’m a 2½ year-old boy with a distinctive tipped ear whose sole aim in life is to make yours happy!

Hi… my name is Baxter,

Adopted 1-11-17

“Found in the Santo Tomas neighborhood. He is one of the local strays. Very friendly. HATES DOGS!” That’s pretty much it for what anyone knows about me. Well, except that, as stated, I really am very friendly – especially since I’ve been relying on the “kindness of strangers,” so having a home of my own has been a dream of mine for quite some time. They’re guessing my age at about 7 years (I guess teeth tell some sort of story in that regard), and with the distinctive dot near my nose (sort of a “half-moustache”), I’ve got charm as well. Now would be a good time to start your year off with a good deed, so why not make me yours? There’ll be happiness in store for us both!

Hi… my name is Booker,

Adopted 2-23-19

The day I came here was an exciting day for me—a subtle way of saying I was completely scared and with good reason! I was found on the interstate, traveling down the median as heavy traffic whizzed by me. Thankfully, a kind gentleman stopped for me. You bet I was glad to get in his car! And once here, relaxing with new friends, my true personality started to show. I’m a playful, fun-loving guy—70 pounds and sometimes I don’t know my own strength, but you can remind me. At 2 years of age, I’ve learned how important it is for my person to be happy; it’s in my sweet nature to want the best for you. So give me a chance today, and I’ll give you the very best of me forever.

Oak

Hi… my name is Oak,

Adopted 12-16-16

You may think that two kittens can take care of themselves in the entertainment department, but we also need a lot of human interaction, and that’s what we weren’t getting in our first home. Our people fell in love with us as roly-poly fluff balls, but they found that they were too busy with school, extracurricular activities, and working long hours, to spend time with us and when that happened, we devised our own diversions, several of which were apparently “no no’s!” So I’m back with my sister, Monica, looking for a place where I can get the attention and love that I so badly want. I’m a charming Siamese mix boy who’ll steal your heart in a trice if you’ll let me!

Hi… my name is Steve,

Adopted 12-31-16

After my mom rescued a whole passel of cats over the years, she decided that she had finally reached her limit – especially since she had too many males vying for dominance. She said that with her though, I was a “lover” who hated to be separated from her (“he will paw at doors to be with you”), so you know if it’s just the two of us, life will be grand. I’m a big, approximately 4-year-old, Maine Coon mix who has one other rather unusual trait for a cat: I love being vacuumed! Just think how easy grooming will be for you! As a guy who has been transformed from a wayfaring stranger to a real homebody, you can bet that our time together will be a joy for us both!

Tic

Hi… my name is Tic,

Adopted with Tac 3-19-17

I guess the man that rescued my brother, Tac, and me had good intentions, but when he shoved us both into a dark, scary canvas bag and brought us to TALGV, we both kind of “freaked out”! We’re still trying really hard to get over that ordeal, so the kind, patient volunteers are working with us every day to remind us that was a one-time thing and that humans really are a delight to be around. I’m a handsome medium-haired charcoal boy, and at only a few months old, I know that I’ve got lots of time ahead of me to discover the joys of a safe home, a family to love (and maybe my brother to play with?), and a normal happy-go-lucky life.
