Hi… my name is Freddy,

Adopted 7-18-17

You don’t often hear “listens well” and “cat” in the same sentence! Well, you don’t know me! My people also said I’m a “good mouser” (even though I never went outside!), “eat bugs” (you can forget your exterminator!), like toys and to be brushed, and am very loving and smart. In short, I’m the quintessential orange tabby boy – outgoing, friendly with everyone, and just a simple joy to have around! I lived with my people for six months, but severe allergies finally won out over my sparkling personality, so this is your chance to partake of the pleasure of my company. At just 11 months old, we’ve got tons of time ahead of us to get to know each other!

Hi… my name is Opie,

Adopted 7-9-17

When the temperatures reach 115, as W. C. Fields said, “It ain’t a fit night out for man or beast!” When I was found on Helmet Peak Road, I was covered with cactus stickers and my paws were so burned that I could barely walk. Thankfully, as the days go by the balm they’re putting on them is helping me heal, and my handsome orange fur is finally picker-free, so now I’m checking out the visitors to see if I can convince one of them to help me make the memories of that ordeal disappear forever. I’m just as typically sweet and outgoing as most orange tabbies, so I’m hopeful that it won’t take long for that special person to come along!

Hi… my name is Rudy Red,

Adopted 2-4-17

How do you say cute? Well, “Rudy Red,” of course! OK, there may be cuter orange tabbies in the world, but I’ve gotta be right up there! I was found as a stray in the Sahuarita Heights area, and although the nice gentleman who rescued me only had me for three days, he said that I was playful (think kitten!), independent (ditto!), and really wanted to sleep with him all night or I let him know in uncertain terms (think “meeooow”!). Actually, I guess you’d call me a “teenager” at 6 months, but I’ve got all the right credentials to make anyone happy. I sure would be grateful if you’d let me show (or remind!) you how utterly charming we youngsters can be!

Hi… my name is Mutley,

Adopted with Slinky 8-19-17

I come with FREE Vet Care for Life.

You know how when people get older they say they’re “getting long in the tooth?” Well, when the lady who brought me to TALGV after my mom died was asked whether I had any unusual markings she said, “One long tooth!” And I guess you’d have to say that at 14 years, I might be getting long in the tooth too, but that entitles me to Free Vet Care for Life, so that’s a big plus! Anyway, I’ve been really depressed since mom died as it was just the two of us my whole life, so I’m really needing some extra TLC. I’m the sweetest, most loving guy who just needs another older, quiet woman (they say I’m frightened of men) to give me a new start in life

Tac

Hi… my name is Tac,

Adopted with Tic 3-19-17

I guess the man that rescued my brother, Tic, and me had good intentions, but when he shoved us both into a dark, scary canvas bag and brought us to TALGV, we both kind of “freaked out”! We’re still trying really hard to get over that ordeal, so the kind, patient volunteers are working with us every day to remind us that was a one-time thing and that humans really are a delight to be around. I’m a handsome medium-haired orange tabby boy, and at only a few months old, I know that I’ve got lots of time ahead of me to discover the joys of a safe home, a family to love (and maybe my brother to play with?), and a normal happy-go-lucky life.

Hi… my name is Coors,

Adopted 1-14-17

Either my beer-colored coat was the inspiration for my name or my people were really big fans of my namesake! In any event, I would have fit any number of names – Lovey and Snuggles come to mind – but rest assured no matter what I’m called, you’d be one happy camper if you made me yours! I’m a 6-year-old orange tabby boy who “loves attention, follows you around and begs for (dry) food like a dog, sleeps in your bed, and adores being with his person.” Yo – what more could you possibly want? Oh, I also got along great with the resident dog and wee little kid, too! Sadly, my family is moving and couldn’t take me with them, so their loss will be your gain! Why not take advantage today?

Hi… my name is Morris,

Adopted 12-13-16

I guess a lot of orange cats are destined to be named Morris! Well, that’s fine with me, because I was saved just in the nick of time, so you can call me whatever you’d like! My rescuer said, “This cat showed up in my yard one night. My dogs aren’t kind to kitties, and were attacking him, so I brought him to TALGV to keep him safe.” Whew! Thank you, nice lady! Needless to say, I was a bit wary when I first arrived, and I also needed some patching up here and there, but now things are calming down, and I’m getting to know and enjoy people. I’m about 4 years old, and I know that once I find my very own home, I’ll be eternally grateful for a safe haven!
