Hi… my name is Griffon,

My life began outside. My rescuer brought me into her home where I learned to enjoy “the good, safe life.” I’m active and affectionate, but I’m not clingy. I love to chew on stick-shaped, ribbon toys. I love to sit on the windowsill or on my pillow. I can entertain myself, but I prefer human companionship. I’ll tell you when I want something by chirp-meowing. All you have to say is “show me” and I will show you the issue. I know a few human words: my name “Griffon,” “din-dins,” “cookie,” “night-night,” “window,” and “show me” and “no.”  If you want a smart, cooperative feline, I’m your guy! Here I am ready to meet you!

What if the rainbow’s end is just around the bend, and it’s a pot full of gold in the form of my own human? Being born in March (although not Irish!) I believe in rainbows with good fortune. I was found by a human couple who kept me for several months. In their home, I got along with their large dog and other cats, but I was not around children.  I was very affectionate and loved being hugged by my humans. I enjoyed playing with the other cats. However, at The Animal League I’m skittish and timid. Hopefully, my next human(s) will give me time to feel comfortable in my new home. Perhaps that’s you?

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

After Mom passed, her grandson took me to his dorm but realized that was not a long-term solution, so he brought me to The Animal League. He said that I’m very friendly with everyone, I come when I’m called (I know my name!), and I like cuddling. I have lived around dogs with no problem. Based on that description, I was adopted by a senior gentleman who adored me! We had the best times together! I loved snuggling in his lap, being petted and being brushed. He said I’m a lover! Sadly, he passed away so I’m waiting to share my loving companionship with my next human. Is that you?

Think mandarin oranges … that’s probably how I got my name. My human became allergic to me and my young ones, so we were brought to The Animal League. This is a good place for us in the interim, but we all need a forever home. You may find me in a cubby watching my kittens, Tie Dye and Banshee, playing together. I am a mellow dad who enjoys their company although I am not officially bonded to them. We are accustomed to living together so you might consider adopting all three of us. Will you please come and meet us? We promise to make you smile.
