You know the saying, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure” has been around for a long time for a reason, and when some people move and abandon their pets, they’re really relying on that happening! Well, happily I know I’ll prove it true, ‘cause I’m just as sweet and loving as can be and will make some lucky person the companion of their dreams. I’m a shorthaired buff and white boy, about 1 year old, and handsome as all get-out to boot! Sometimes when pets have gone through “trauma,” they double down on niceness, so that’s what I’ve done. Gabby is neutered, shots are up to date, and medical records are available. He always uses his litter box, is social and friendly (especially with men), and loves to be brushed. There are “bad environments” and then there are really, really BAD environments, and that’s what I came from. There were about 30 of us in a hoarding situation, and thankfully an incredibly dedicated woman rescued all of us over the course of a few months. Several of my companions and I came here, and when we arrived, almost all of us had one sort of affliction or another. It’s been a long road to recovery, but we’re almost there and SO ready to have places of our own. I’m a delightful 4-month-old girl with the world’s fluffiest tail, and although still a bit stunned by my ordeal, I’ll warm up in no time and fill your house with affection, one purr at a time!

Did you know that orange tabbies (aka “marmalades”) are known as the Golden Retrievers of the cat world? Well, actually, I just made that up, but it’s true – ‘cause if we could, we’d wag our bodies just like they do and get out there and love on everyone we meet! And play? Let me tell you! So it’s hard to understand how my owners could have moved away and left me in the yard (especially since I’m declawed!), but maybe they assumed that I’m such a sweetie I’d find a new home in no time. Well I haven’t yet, but that’s because YOU haven’t met me, so make sure your next outing includes a visit to TALGV and see what you’ve been missing!

You know cat carriers aren’t the most comfortable places to spend much time for ONE full-grown cat -let alone three! But that’s what happened with my friends, Blackberry, Grayson, and me! The cat volunteers found us that way one morning and I can’t BEGIN to tell you how happy we all were to be released! In addition to the cramped quarters, our lovely fur was matted to the skin, so a good grooming just added to the joy of freedom! It’s hard to believe we were abandoned, as all of us are totally delightful, outgoing, people-loving boys who will spend the rest of our lives making YOURS a joy! I’m a 3-year-old orange (surprise!) tabby with so much love to give it’ll just take your breath away!

As you might guess from my size (18 pounds!), my mom said that I “eat anything!” Well, I’m “big boned” too so I “carry it well!” Okay, enough with the weight-related adages, let’s get on to why I’m here! My mom was having some health issues so felt she wasn’t able to care for me any longer (sometimes just cleaning out a litterbox can be hard on people!). I had a housemate and got along pretty well, but in truth, I think I’d rather be top cat, because occasionally I was less than fastidious in my manners. Although I’m basically shy, mom said I love to be petted and have my back scratched and go crazy for catnip anything, so I’m hoping for one more chance to prove I can be your best buddy.
