Hi… my name is Zoey (aka Stripes),

Adopted 7-31-24

After being rescued from the desert as a tiny newborn, I was adopted and loved by wonderful people. But now they have some health issues and since I’ve grown into an energetic large dog, they think it best that I find my new home. Friends say I’m a very sweet and smart girl, who loves having fun playing with other dogs and going for car rides. Thanks to early training, I understand “sit” and “wait,” have been completely housetrained, and I’m willing to learn new rules, too. I’m young and strong, so I need someone strong on the other end of the leash. And after we exercise, I can be happily calm and content at home. If you’d like an active best friend for happy trails ahead, I could be yours. Let’s meet soon!

Hi… my name is Tawny,

Adopted by foster family 9-14-25

As a scared, lost dog, I just wanted to be safe. Who knew I could be so happy, too! Today, I’m living with a wonderful foster family, who report I’ve come along well in the family situation. They’ve discovered I’m housetrained, respond well to “no” and “stop,” and love toys. I also love hanging out with the family dogs. There are still things to learn, of course. We haven’t walked on a leash yet, and as a possible escape risk, I need a 5-6 foot fence with a solid perimeter. My kind foster parents use a gentle approach, letting me go to them, and accepting that I may never be a cuddler. They’ve taught me what a loving home can be, and now I dream of belonging in one forever. Could it be with you?

Hi… my name is Kooper,

Adopted 6-15-25

I’ve been told my eyes are a distinctive feature. Mine reveal the wisdom beyond my young age. I’m a playful yet serious guy who knows when it’s time for fun and when it’s time to settle down. I’ve got great manners, walk beautifully on leash, and even help mentor my canine pals. I may be a big dog, but my heart and affection for the people I love are even bigger. I enjoy outings, playing with other dogs, and giving loyalty and love to those in my circle. I may start out a bit reserved, but once you’ve earned the title of Kooper Trooper, I’m all yours—tail wags, kisses, and more. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, well-behaved companion with a playful streak and a wise soul, just ask for Super Kooper!

Hi… my name is Jerry,

Adopted 5-26-24

I’m one of the happiest dogs around and that may be a surprise. After all, I was abandoned with another dog in a local wash with no hope of getting out because I’m paralyzed from the waist down.  But once found, we were brought to The Animal League, where wonderful things happen. They trimmed my painfully overgrown nails, gave me the comfort of washable diapers, and then I got my wheels! I routinely scooch around on my own, but with my wheels I get more exercise, independence, and just plain fun! Friends say I’m a sweet guy who’s always in good spirits and enjoys being with other small dogs. Plus, I have Vet Care Support for Life. I say my happiest day ever will come when someone wonderful takes me home. Could it be you?

Hi… my name is Princess,

Adopted 5-21-24

Since being found, my puppy days have become happy days of learning and growing! Foster mom says I’m a “charmer” who’s super social with people and enjoys playing with toys and other dogs.  I’ve already learned “sit,” “leave it” and “outside,” and I’m making good progress on housetraining, puppy manners, and how to settle quietly in my crate. (Continued help in building my alone time confidence will be welcome.) Outdoors I’m up for adventure! Indoors I like to stay close to my person, often playing or napping nearby. My wonderful foster mom says I’m very smart and observant with a ton of potential to be an all-around great dog! For now, I’ll keep learning and growing while I wait for you to come meet me.  Here’s hoping that happy day comes real soon!

Hi… my name is Rio,

Adopted 6-1-24

Hey there, folks! They say my forever family is just around the corner, and I can’t wait to dive into my own “Happily Ever After” tale. Picture this: my brother and I, abandoned with a makeshift sign reading “Free Puppies.” Luckily a kind soul whisked us off to TALGV, where the start to our new, better lives began. I’m a delightful blend of happiness and charm, with my breed an amusing mystery waiting to be solved. Sure, school’s out for summer, but while I wait to meet my new family, I’m mastering the basics of Puppy 101 with my human pals – I’m a natural! I’m eagerly gearing up to become your newest, most adored family member. Swing by and let’s start our adventure together!

Hi… my name is Spots (aka Jeff),

Someone went for the obvious instead of creativity when naming me – LOL! I was adopted and loved for two years, but due to no fault of mine, I’m back and ready to win hearts again. I’m currently crashing with another TALGV dog buddy in a foster home, where I enjoy walks, car rides, and showing off my Master’s degree in house and leash manners. I’m the ideal combo of medium energy and expert-level lounging. Got household chores? I’ll help! My motto: “It doesn’t get clean without Spots!” I’m a little cautious with new folks, but once you pass the vibe check, I’m all in. Cuddles? Yes. Loyalty? Absolutely. Cats? Nope, sorry. I do like other dogs, but can be bossy – it’s the heeler in me. Adopt me and guarantee—everywhere you go, you’ll see Spots!
