Monsoon season is not the best time for a young mother and her two pups to be without a home. Thankfully we were brought to The Animal League and safety. My pups, Erin and Earl, are approximately 4 months old. I’m a good mom who wants her puppies to find loving forever homes. Let me be honest with you: I’m about 3 years old, and I want the same thing! I enjoy car rides and my daily walks, and since I have “puppy sitters” available, I love having some “me” time without the kids. So I recently attended an event with several of my canine friends from TALGV. I’m a happy, affectionate and sociable gal who’s always ready for human company. I think I used up one of my nine lives getting here! I was found in the desert with my two kittens. Thankfully someone found me and brought me to The Animal League, and we are all okay. I’m ready for a good home now that my kittens are old enough to be on their own. I like petting and chin scratches and will roll over on my back for more—just don’t touch my tummy. I’m happy hiding under a blanket here while I’m waiting for my new parents, but I think I’ll easily become more outgoing in the right home. Papago Road exit leads off I-19 to nowhere, and that’s exactly where I was headed. Fortunately a good Samaritan found me lying under a tree. I was too sick and weak to stand, so he picked me up, put me in his car, and drove me to TALGV for help. After a trip to the vet, and a short stay, I was returned to TALGV. I’m an approximately 5-month-old hound/staffie mix boy, who finally can see a bright future ahead. Now all I need is a caring person, hopefully you, to adopt me and take me home. I can see it now, a home of my own, a loving family, and lots of toys for me to play with. What more could a puppy wish for? You to grant my wish!

You could say that I am of unusual parentage, with one being a lab and the other a little doxie. But if you ask me, that only makes me the perfect size dog! I am perfect in other ways, too: I walk well on a leash, behave when left alone at home, alert you to strangers and when I need to go potty. My previous person said that I don’t get along with some dogs or kids. But you don’t like just anybody either, do you? How about we meet at the shelter and find out how we like each other? (If you give good belly rubs, we’ll be halfway there already!) If we do, we can go home together and I can keep you company, sit next to you, and snuggle.

Maybe someone was being cute when they named me Little Kitty (I was 14 pounds when I arrived), but I’ve learned that humans have a weird sense of humor sometimes! I’ve had a couple of moms who both had to relinquish me for health reasons. I’m a reserved lady who’d love a quiet home where I’m the only pet. I’ve been praised as very loving, but want to give you affection on my schedule. I’m shy and am still warming up to attention from the volunteers. I LOVE treats. I’ve passed the age milestone for Vet Care Support for Life, so I’m hopeful that gives you another reason to make me yours!

Maxine

I recently stayed in a foster home in close proximity with the two resident cats. What can I say! Everything was copacetic. I love and enjoy human companionship and spending time outside, especially going for walks. Since I’m quite strong, I’ll need a walker who can take charge. I’m not aggressive but can get excited when I meet other dogs. Maybe I just want to play! Who knows, I might even enjoy a canine companion in my next home. We’ll see! Because I can jump high, I’ll need a secure yard. In the house I’m quiet and well behaved and love to relax on my bed. I’m also house trained, and I know and understand the basic commands. I’m wishing for my long-awaited “forever home,” and YOU could be the one to grant that wish!
