Animal League News

Hi… my name is Tyke,

Adopted 8-7-22

Tyler and I were picked up on the Tohono O’Odham reservation by the tribal police. Since there was no reason to arrest us, we were brought to TALGV. We were checked out and found to be undernourished, but healthy. Then we started our new routine, with two daily walks. I’m not crazy about the collar and leash (I’m improving), or being confined to my kennel (probably never an “inside dog”), but I heard someone mention I’m making an effort to adapt to my surroundings. Tyler and I may have come in together, but now we need our separate spaces, and I need to focus more on social interaction with “humans.” I’d love a home (fenced space), with an experienced “dog person” who has the time and patience to help me become the dog I know I can be…YOUR dog!

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

It’s hard to start over at my age, but here I am. I was found wandering and made it to The Animal League where the people here have really checked me out to be ready for a new home. I’m a mellow guy, enjoying lazing underneath a cat tree and gazing out the catio to see the world go by. I’m very friendly and like petting. I have a handsome black coat with splotches of white on my face and throat. Now in my senior years, I have the added benefit of Vet Care Support for Life. How about it?  Can I spend my golden years with you?

Hi… my name is Noga,

Adopted 6-5-22

I’ve recently been a visitor at TALGV, but due to all the twists and turns in life, I’m now a resident, at least until I find my new home. I’m an energetic, playful, 4-year-old Akita mix, who sees the world through two different colored eyes. Many people consider this “undeniably beautiful.” I’m strong and somewhat athletic (can easily leap over a 4’ fence). I need some help with my leash training, and if you’re patient with me, I’ll respond to the “sit” command. I’ve enjoyed being around children and other dogs, but NEVER cats! I behave in a car and love going for rides. My name is of Hebrew origin and means “morning light.” Please, just look me in the eye and consider how THIS “morning light” could brighten your home and life.

Hi… my name is Cheddar,

Adopted with Giselle and Itty Bitty 7-13-22

I really went through a lot before I was found as a stray, very dirty and injured. Boy, am I glad to be here! I’m cleaned up now and healing from a cracked bone. They had to shave most of my fur but now it’s growing back. My bad experiences didn’t affect my disposition though–I absolutely love to be petted and scratched and will purr to express my satisfaction. I would dearly love to find a safe home where I can show my affection—can it be with you? Why not come meet me so we can get acquainted?
