My sister Louise and I were born into a litter of nine. After seven of our siblings found homes, we were brought here to find ours. I think it’s rather nice being here! We both get lots of individual attention, which I really love. Leash training is new to me, but since I enjoy going for walks, I’m doing my best to learn. Another subject up for discussion, “potty training.” I still need that lesson! I’m ready to start my schooling and learn my doggie ABC’s (sit, stay, down, etc.). I’ve heard about “puppy training” and “socialization,” so I guess I’ve got that to look forward to! I’m already a sweet and friendly gal, but with your loving guidance there’s always room for improvement. Once in my new home, with you, I know we’ll reach our goal.

I’m actually happy to be here because, with just the two of us, it’s rather nice to be the center of attention for a change. At 5 ½ months old, and already a “tot,” I’m more than ready for “puppy training” to help me become a well-behaved member of your family. It’s not that easy, but going for walks is fun…so I’ll learn! Then there’s “socialization!” Even though I’m already sweet and friendly, I can never get too much! SALEM is a mellow and playful 3-year-old, 60-pound, Staffie mix girl who needs a new home.She is in good health, spayed and up to date on shots. She is house broken and asks to go out. Salem is well behaved and obedience trained; she will sit, go, stay, shake, and come to her name. She is playful and energetic. She is very good with children and gets along well with other dogs; cats are unknown. Salem will happily stay in her crate whenever needed and she sleeps there at night. There is no adoption fee. My young life has been okay so far, but mom had to move to a place that didn’t allow pets so here I am. Mom says I’m “the sweetest cat ever” and I’d like to prove it to you! I’m okay with dogs and love string toys. I’m as curious as they come and am especially curious about OUTSIDE, so I need a home where I can be protected from open doors. I will talk to you in a soft “meow” when I’m hungry or want your attention, and happily lap up whatever affection you have to give. How about it? Can we start exploring together?

I am a Treeing Walker Coonhound, and although no longer a puppy, I still have lots of energy to run and chase. I am currently staying with foster parents who have a nice, big yard and another dog with whom I get along well. But they say that I can’t stay because I’m not at all fond of their cats and look at them as prey. (Sigh.) I am well behaved on a leash, but I am a strong girl and need a strong person to walk with me. I love being with all kinds of people, and I love learning new things. I already know the “sit,” “down” and “stay” commands. My favorite place is next to my human,giving and receiving affection. Will you be my very own human?

I guess I jumped into the right person’s backyard, because she brought me to The Animal League after a few days. During those few days with her I behaved very well. The lady learned that I like belly and ear rubs, love to play, and am talkative. I sometimes get so excited when I’m playing that I will give a nip. I was around other cats and got along okay. I’m a sharp black and white tuxedo boy with handsome green eyes. I like action. I have lots of playtime ahead of me, and I’d like it to be with you!
