Hi… my name is Cedar,

Adopted 3-5-22

The little rascal is a cuddle bug and growing like a weed. Cedar’s favorite toy, besides his brother Maple, is a box… a plain cardboard box, just high enough for him to fit into and play or climb on top of when he wants to be picked up. He is not big into chew toys unless they are being held by the person whose hand he would rather play with. He is more into being held and talked to. He gives lots of puppy kisses and looks at everyone without fear. Cedar is an adventurous little fellow, too. He likes to explore and shows little fear of anything. Except the vacuum, that is.

Hi… my name is Joey,

Adopted 3-1-22

If only animals could talk (not just ordinary meows and barks!), then we could tell you what we’re really feeling. In my case, my mom and I lived in an abusive situation, and because her partner included me in the mistreatment, I’m never quite sure when that’s apt to happen again. I’m really trying to put it all behind me, so I hope I’ll be forgiven for being wary of strangers, ‘cause that experience really left a mark on me. Mom said I can be affectionate and playful (just not for too long!), so I have dreams of a kind, patient heart out there who’ll show me there really is a soft, loving side of life.

Hi… my name is Rebecca,

Adopted 2-23-22

Consider all the things associated with the number “7”: days in a week, wonders of the ancient world, continents, etc. My name is Miriam, and as a proud young mother let me introduce you to REBECCA, one of my “litter of seven.” She’s an adorable black and white brindle Terrier mix girl, born in December just before Christmas. She and her siblings were staying with me in a loving foster home, preparing for life once they leave the litter, and move into their own forever homes. Now the time has arrived and I must bid her farewell. Take care of Rebecca and above all…LOVE HER!

Hi… my name is Joya,

Adopted 11-29-22

Returning to TALGV, I know the kind volunteers are helping me adjust to yet another change. As a teenager, I lived here until a couple adopted me and my feline pal, Smokey. In that home we got along well with the Newfoundland dogs. Sadly, our human dad died, and our human mom could no longer care for us. So, we were brought back here to await a new home. Smokey went to one home, and I to another. In my most recent home I lived with a single person who said I was shy and hid during the day and played at night. I need a patient person to become my true self. Will you be that person?

Hi… my name is Masquerade,

Adopted with BlackJack 3-1-22

What can I say? I was brought in by a gentleman who found me wandering about for several days near an apartment complex. It was Valentine’s Day; you might have thought they would name me Valentino, but no… I am Masquerade. There is some mystery surrounding me and my background, but it’s known that I’m a healthy, playful, handsome one-year-old Tuxedo lad. I’m very happy to no longer be “on the streets fending for myself.”  I like the safety of being inside and being cared for by TALGV volunteers. However, I’m REALLY desiring a home of my own with my own human to love forever! Will you be the one? Please come meet me!

Sam

Hi… my name is Sam,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

Living with my human for eleven of my twelve years, I had a good life. Friendly and affectionate, I like being petted and groomed and playing with toys. I was my human’s sweet companion with a low-key personality who enjoyed sitting in his lap. I lived with two dogs and got along with adults and children.  When my human found BlackJack, he became my feline buddy.  We came here together but don’t spend all of our time with each other.  Due to my age, I come with Vet Care Support for Life. If you are looking for a handsome cat, come meet me!

Hi… my name is Tank,

Adopted 3-12-22

I’m a Jack Russell Terrier mix, but who knows what the “mix” could be? Whatever it is, it just adds that special something that makes me the unique, personable dog I am today,… and proud of it! I walk pretty well on a leash, but further training would be a definite plus. I’m crate trained, know how to“sit,” and can use a doggie door. I’m definitely a “high energy” boy! I’ve been gentle and tolerant with children, but at times I get carried away and play a little too rough. One thing to consider, even with my short stature, I’ve been known to jump a high fence. I need an active person, who can harness my energy and teach me all of the basics I need to learn. In other words, I need you!

Adopted 2-24-22

Rocco is a sweet and soft-natured 10-year-old, 75-pound Catahoula/Hound mix male who needs a new home.He is crate trained, has good leash manners, and is obedience trained (knows “sit, ”stay,” “come,” “touch” and “shake”). He is housebroken and asks to go out. He is in good health, neutered, up to date on shots, and medical records are available. Rocco gets along with other dogs and would be best with older children; cats are unknown. He loves his soft ortho bed and only needs a short daily walk. He would be a great companion for a low-key senior. There is no adoption fee for this special boy. If you will welcome Rocco into a loving home as part of your family, please call Andrea between 10 AM and 7 PM at 520-367-5186.
