Hi… my name is Birch,

Adopted 3-15-22

I am part of a litter of six who came to TALGV when we were only four weeks old. Thankfully, we were very well taken care of by foster parents who fed us, kept us warm, and, most importantly, loved us. We are now ready to find our forever homes. My foster parents say I am a cuddle bug. I like to sit with them, be held, play with my sister and them. We got to meet a lot of neighbors and liked them all. I have learned to follow “mom” outside to go potty and she says that’s very good for someone so young! Like all puppies, I love to give puppy kisses. Can you come to cuddle so I can give you some and then you take me home?

Hi… my name is Boscoe (aka Maurice),

Adopted 3-14-22

When I first arrived at TALGV, I was a happy bouncing puppy. I’m back…and I’m a big boy now, and once again I’m looking for a home…my forever home. There were no children in my former residence, just a dog and two cats. Even though I didn’t appear aggressive, I admit I chased and barked at the cats. I asked to go potty, and when my people left me alone, I stayed in my crate (at night it became my bedroom). I know the commands “sit,” “stay,” “wait,” “outside,” “in the house,” and “go nite-nite.” I enjoy car rides and walk well on a leash. I love to get attention and please my people! I’m an affectionate “gentle giant” searching for a home with loving people to share it with! May I share yours?

PS My baby pictures at shown at the end of the gallery.

Hi… my name is Camille,

Adopted with bonded companion Squeak 4-26-22.

My feline companion Squeak and I were brought to TALGV due to the kindness of a woman who took us in after our previous owner died, and their family could not care for us. She said that I am “nice, quiet, and laid back.”  I may be shy at first with strangers, but I warm up quickly to affection. I am being well-cared for here by volunteers and the medical team. They are getting me ready for my new home…with Squeak, of course! We even come with our own cat condo. So come check us out. We’d love to share our love with you. Won’t you come meet us?

Hi… my name is Colleen,

Adopted 4-3-22

In Ireland a colleen is a young girl! I wonder, does that also include adorable young female puppies? I’m a Lab mix, about two months old, and quite a smart and pretty “lass.” My brother Casey and I arrived here after we were found running loose near the Circle K. Casey has gone to his new home now, so I REALLY need to find a home of my own. You probably already know puppies can be a lot of work, but if you’re a patient and loving person, you’ll do fine. I’m almost potty trained and you can teach me the basic commands. As a reward for helping me grow into a well-mannered adult, I promise to be a faithful companion and a beloved member of your family. If you can promise me love and kindness in return…I’m yours!

Hi… my name is Maple,

Adopted 2-5-22

The little rascal is a cuddle bug and growing like a weed. Maple’s favorite toy, besides his brother Cedar, is a box… a plain cardboard box, just high enough for him to fit into and play or climb on top of when he wants to be picked up. He liked a soft toy with a string tail (which he promptly removed before disemboweling the stuffed critter). At times he entertains himself with chew toys. He gives lots of puppy kisses and snuggles up to people, much to the delight of everyone. When he is out of the pen, he has been observed to return there to do his business on the pad. Smart fellow!

Hi… my name is Cedar,

Adopted 3-5-22

The little rascal is a cuddle bug and growing like a weed. Cedar’s favorite toy, besides his brother Maple, is a box… a plain cardboard box, just high enough for him to fit into and play or climb on top of when he wants to be picked up. He is not big into chew toys unless they are being held by the person whose hand he would rather play with. He is more into being held and talked to. He gives lots of puppy kisses and looks at everyone without fear. Cedar is an adventurous little fellow, too. He likes to explore and shows little fear of anything. Except the vacuum, that is.

Hi… my name is Joey,

Adopted 3-1-22

If only animals could talk (not just ordinary meows and barks!), then we could tell you what we’re really feeling. In my case, my mom and I lived in an abusive situation, and because her partner included me in the mistreatment, I’m never quite sure when that’s apt to happen again. I’m really trying to put it all behind me, so I hope I’ll be forgiven for being wary of strangers, ‘cause that experience really left a mark on me. Mom said I can be affectionate and playful (just not for too long!), so I have dreams of a kind, patient heart out there who’ll show me there really is a soft, loving side of life.

Hi… my name is Rebecca,

Adopted 2-23-22

Consider all the things associated with the number “7”: days in a week, wonders of the ancient world, continents, etc. My name is Miriam, and as a proud young mother let me introduce you to REBECCA, one of my “litter of seven.” She’s an adorable black and white brindle Terrier mix girl, born in December just before Christmas. She and her siblings were staying with me in a loving foster home, preparing for life once they leave the litter, and move into their own forever homes. Now the time has arrived and I must bid her farewell. Take care of Rebecca and above all…LOVE HER!

Hi… my name is Joya,

Adopted 11-29-22

Returning to TALGV, I know the kind volunteers are helping me adjust to yet another change. As a teenager, I lived here until a couple adopted me and my feline pal, Smokey. In that home we got along well with the Newfoundland dogs. Sadly, our human dad died, and our human mom could no longer care for us. So, we were brought back here to await a new home. Smokey went to one home, and I to another. In my most recent home I lived with a single person who said I was shy and hid during the day and played at night. I need a patient person to become my true self. Will you be that person?
