What can I say? I was brought in by a gentleman who found me wandering about for several days near an apartment complex. It was Valentine’s Day; you might have thought they would name me Valentino, but no… I am Masquerade. There is some mystery surrounding me and my background, but it’s known that I’m a healthy, playful, handsome one-year-old Tuxedo lad. I’m very happy to no longer be “on the streets fending for myself.” I like the safety of being inside and being cared for by TALGV volunteers. However, I’m REALLY desiring a home of my own with my own human to love forever! Will you be the one? Please come meet me!

Living with my human for eleven of my twelve years, I had a good life. Friendly and affectionate, I like being petted and groomed and playing with toys. I was my human’s sweet companion with a low-key personality who enjoyed sitting in his lap. I lived with two dogs and got along with adults and children. When my human found BlackJack, he became my feline buddy. We came here together but don’t spend all of our time with each other. Due to my age, I come with Vet Care Support for Life. I’m a Jack Russell Terrier mix, but who knows what the “mix” could be? Whatever it is, it just adds that special something that makes me the unique, personable dog I am today,… and proud of it! I walk pretty well on a leash, but further training would be a definite plus. I’m crate trained, know how to“sit,” and can use a doggie door. I’m definitely a “high energy” boy! I’ve been gentle and tolerant with children, but at times I get carried away and play a little too rough. One thing to consider, even with my short stature, I’ve been known to jump a high fence. I need an active person, who can harness my energy and teach me all of the basics I need to learn. In other words, I need you!

He is housebroken and asks to go out. He is in good health, neutered, up to date on shots, and medical records are available. Rocco gets along with other dogs and would be best with older children; cats are unknown. He loves his soft ortho bed and only needs a short daily walk. He would be a great companion for a low-key senior. There is no adoption fee for this special boy.
