Hi… my name is Tommy,

Adopted 2-17-22

After a short stay at TALGV I moved into foster care, and it’s   just what I need… caring people to teach me the basics of living in a home. I know the commands “wait” and “sit” and love going for long walks (as an individual or in a pack). I’m currently sharing the home with the two resident dogs. It seems I may be a bit of a toy hog, but I remain a true gentleman. I’m well behaved, enjoy the company of people, and I’ve been loving towards my foster’s granddaughter. I’m still working on my greeting skills, but I’m never aggressive or prone to jump. My foster mom says I’m a “joy” to have in their home. I could be the joy in yours!

Hi… my name is Andy,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

I’ve been asked to tell you about myself so here goes! First of all, you may like to know that since I’ve been at TALGV for a while, I come with Vet Care Support for Life. Next, I have good friends, especially my Foster Mom and Dad. The other three dogs at my foster home are my friends now, too, and although I’m a big, energetic guy who can play rough, I’m learning to play with them individually. At “night-night” I get in my crate and also understand words like “sit,” “down,” and lots more. Favorite game? Go get the ball, of course! Foster Mom calls me a fast learner and a super loving dog. I’m still a bit anxious and very stubborn but am able to relax and have fun with a loving family. In my heart I know they care about me and that makes everything possible. Could you and I care about each other? Let’s meet and find out!

Hi… my name is Pilgrim,

Adopted 12-22-21

It was a couple of days before Thanksgiving, when my canine traveling companion and I were trying to decide which direction to take. A kind fellow traveler stopped and offered to give us a ride. We accepted his generous offer, and because he had no idea where we were headed either, the decision was made to bring us to TALGV. I’m a friendly, handsome, male Staffie mix, who’s definitely giving thanks for being here, and I’m already looking forward to meeting YOU! I can use a doggie door, and one of my handlers mentioned I’m an “easy” walker. Even though my past education is unknown, if you’re willing to be patient and work with me, I could be that loving pal you’ve always wanted. Now, I’m ready to go home! Please, come and get me today.

Hi… my name is Dozer,

RAINBOW BRIDGE 7-8-22

I’m a handsome, affectionate, and energetic boy who’s crate and leash trained. My foster dad wants to add sweet, cuddly, and adorable, because I love to curl up on the couch with my people (even on the lap, if allowed). I enjoy playing and going for walks, but I need a strong handler. I’m house trained and ask to go out, and even though I already know the basic commands like “sit,” and “leave it,” etc., I’m also willing and smart enough to learn more. I’m a dog who absolutely loves people, but my feelings do NOT extend to other dogs. I definitely need to be your one and only pet. Now, if you think I would make the perfect addition to your family, don’t you think its about time for us to meet face to face?

Hi… my name is Babe,

Adopted 12-18-21

I’m just dying to have someone sing “I Got You, Babe” to me so that I know that I really belong! Some relatives “gifted” me to my senior mom but since I’d only been there a week, I let my loneliness be known at rather inappropriate times. Being a typical kitten, though, I “ran around,” loved playing with the dogs, and chasing a laser light and feather toys. Nothing so surprising there! All I really need is a loving, active home where I can have time to adjust to a new environment (maybe even with a feline or canine pal for company?) and I’ll get over those old “separation blues” in no time!

Hi… my name is Pebbles,

Adopted 12-31-21

So I guess after 18 months of being not very nice to my rescuer’s cat, even though I was wonderful with her, I lost my second home. My first family abandoned me when they moved away, so I’m beginning to get a complex that I’m hoping you’ll help me get over! My mom said I’m a sweet cuddler who rubs all over you and will let you know in no uncertain terms when I want attention (which is a lot, so if you’re not into “needy,” then maybe I’m not for you!). On the other hand, if you want a companion who’ll be beside you all the time, then you’ll hit the jackpot with me!

Hi… my name is Blossom,

Adopted 12-6-21

It’s a well-known fact that “special needs” cats are almost always extraordinarily sweet and oh-so-special in many ways! In my case, I have limited vision (the vet who examined me said that if Blossom were a person, she wouldn’t need a seeing-eye dog, but she wouldn’t be allowed to drive!) I still get around just fine (especially once I get to know my surroundings and, truth-be-told, I’d way rather spend time in your lap anyway!) Most of my life I have lived with a family that included two adults, two teens and small dogs. I enjoyed cuddling with my humans and playing with my canine buddies. I’m just a love! So please come meet me!

Hi… my name is Pippin,

Adopted 12-22-21

Living with my human mom for most of my life was certainly the best. But alas! She had to move and couldn’t take me with her. She said that I loved attention, and the volunteers have certainly found that to be true. My mom said that I love to play with small toys and will even chase them if you toss them up in the air! I prefer not to be picked up, but I’m a sweet gal who likes to be where you are. Although Gizmo came in with me, we typically are not seen together so perhaps we could be adopted separately. Why don’t you come in to meet us, and you decide!
