I am an affectionate Blue Heeler who loves to cuddle and get belly rubs. I have gotten along with other animals in the past, and I know how to use a doggie door. Because I am deaf, I have learned hand signals and they say that I respond well to them. I’d love to learn more, too, because we heelers are a smart breed, always ready to learn something new! I walk well on a leash when out with the vounteers, but I also love to run off some of my herding dog energy whenever I get a chance! Here’s a surprise: I’m a 5-month-old who’s “confident, curious, loves to play with toys, likes to attack feathers and toy mice, and loves to snuggle!” But the real surprise is that I’m still here! As a barely-weaned kitten, I was found on a street in Nogales, drenched on one of those VERYrainy July days. My rescuer couldn’t find my mom or littermates, so she took me in, intending to nurse me back to health and then find me a home. Well, the health thing happened, but the home never materialized, so now it’s TALGV’s turn to make sure I find just the right forever home, and I’ll bet yours would be just the ticket!

Our lives have been a series of ups and downs – spending our early months outside, tolerating the intake pokes and prods when arriving here, and enduring a weeks-long ringworm protocol in isolation without a lot of “people time” – so we basically missed the joy of our kittenhood and are being fairly low-profile right now. But we’re youngsters nonetheless, and given patience, safe and loving homes, with a smidgen of time, I bet we’ll all become the companions we’re meant to be. Won’t you PLEASE give us that chance?

When I jumped into the lady’s golf cart, all I wanted was a ride. At first she thought I was a wild animal, but once we met she invited me home. I’m an approximately 4-month-old Terrier and I’m proud of it! Would you believe there are over 30 types of Terriers? Being “feisty” and energetic are the primary traits we all share. Don’t worry, I hear we make wonderful, loyal, and lovable pets. We’re also trainable, as long as you take charge, because we can be a little stubborn (I prefer, independent). Now is the perfect time, with your patience and perseverance, for me to start kindergarten and learn the basic commands. How about some “extra curricular” training. You know what I mean… cute tricks! When I was first found, I was a scared 5-week-old puppy who was all alone. Now I’m a confident young gal who knows what she wants out of life. I want a loving forever home, and I want to be your “only” pet! According to my foster Mom, I’m a wonderful, affectionate companion who’s absolutely no problem in the home. I ride well in a car and enjoy playing fetch with my ball. I’m house, crate, and leash trained, ask to go out, and even know the commands “sit,” “stay,” “off” and “wait”(useful if I should start pulling on my leash). I have also improved on the “watch” command. I may sound egotistical, but I think you’ll be more than satisfied with me, and you deserve the best!

Although I lost my short-term family, I’m pretty glad I did, ‘cause the intent when I was given to them was to be an outdoor cat. As everyone knows, that is definitely notthe place to live a long and protected life (“happy” it might be; it’s just not safe out there). While I lived with them, my people said that I was playful, sweet, and loved cuddles and kids (ages 4 and 5). So I guess I needn’t say too much more about all my attributes except that I want to be the light of your life, and think it would be extremely cool if you called me “The Kelvinator”! COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

Although I’ve lived with kids, adults of all ages, and a dog, even now I’m a bit shy with strangers (I guess you just get used to “your people”), but I mostly prefer sharing my love with just one person. Like many pets in Green Valley, after my mom went into assisted living there weren’t family members to continue caring for me, so I ended up in a place that’s the next best thing to a real home. Mom said that I can be temperamental sometimes, but I’ll bet in a quiet home with just you, I’ll be more relaxed. At 15, I have Vet Care Support for Life, so let’s get together and talk!
