Hi… my name is Ernie,

Adopted 3-6-21

In case you didn’t know, the pitter-patter of kitten feet soothes the soul! The lady who writes the cat biographies adopted my brother, and she said that if I’m even half as wonderful as him, someone is going to get one incredibly loving, entertaining, and handsome purrpot (all I need is a touch to get going!). The family who adopted me had to move, so after having had a wonderful few months living with them and another kitten, I’m hopeful I can do that again. I love sitting in your lap to give little kisses and nuzzle your eyelashes, and then get my mojo going and do my run-around-the-house-checking-everything-out routine. So c’mon, let’s enjoy life together!

Hi… my name is Snoopy,

Adopted 1-3-21

I was found roaming around an apartment complex and was taken in by a lady who unfortunately couldn’t keep me. She brought me to TALGV because she knew I would find a home. After 2 ½ weeks she knew me well enough to discover that I know how to sit, lie down, and come here when told. I walk pretty well on a leash and enjoy field trips. I’m also good in the house and ask to go out. I’m a sweet boy (her words), like children, love to cuddle, and I’m also willing to share a bed. Even with a name like Snoopy, I prefer to think of myself as inquisitive. If you’re inquisitive too and want to find out more about me, please call for an appointment.

Hi… my name is Dot,

Rainbow Bridge 8-8-23

Yes, that’s really my name, and yes, I’m a guy! I’m a special boy who needs a truly special person to care for me, but in return, you’d be getting one wonderfully affectionate companion. Somehow in my short life, I lost my tail – either there are Manx genes in my heritage, it was amputated, or when I was neutered, there might have been surgical problems (no one is quite sure), but in any case, I sometimes need a little help with my hygiene. My dad said I love dogs and liked to sleep with mine, cats, and especially people, so I’d be awfully grateful if you’d make this needy boy a part of your life.

Hi… my name is Romper,

Adopted 1-12-21

I am a leaner. To be more precise, I’m a crawler: given the chance, I’ll crawl into your lap for a belly rub—all 66 pounds of me! I just love people and I love being near them and being petted and loved back! I’ve spent a lot of time living outside recently, so I may have forgotten some of my manners, like the need to tell you when I have to go outside, or how to respond to commands. But we are working on that here at TALGV, and I know I can learn and make you proud! I like other dogs, but not cats. They say if you look into my eyes, you can see my story: that I’m a gentle soul whose favorite place is with his favorite people.

Hi… my name is Gypsy,

Adopted 5-4-21

I was found wandering the streets and was lucky to be brought to TALGV. I’m a beautiful black and white four-year-old girl and a trim 40 pounds. My foster mom always tells me that I’m a real good girl. I can be a little nervous and shy when I meet new people but warm up nicely. My foster mom says I’m affectionate, smart, and a quick learner. I already know the commands sit, wait, leave it, and down. I love to go for golf car rides and hikes and am well mannered on leash. I have no problems being alone in the house, but I really prefer being with my person. Please call so we can meet and perhaps discover we’re the perfect match.

Hi… my name is Chico,

Adopted 3-1-21

Do you like leaners? Then I’m your dog! Give me some attention or an ear scratch and I will lean against you for more of the same. I like it even better if I can crawl into your lap and have you scratch my tummy! I know, I know: I am pretty big and that may not work for everyone! I am also athletic and strong. I’ve been called “a bit bossy” and I am not fond of cats but have been told that I walk well on a leash. Romper and I spent some time together and both of us get along well with other dogs and like to play with them, so I would love to have the opportunity to do that in my new home.

Hi… my name is Thelma,

Adopted 12-15-20

I am a young, sweet and gentle soul who loves to be petted, sit next to you on the sofa and be near you whenever I can. I also Iike to play games and take walks. My foster mom says I am easy to have around and have learned several commands like sit, stay, come and stop. I have one brown and one blue eye. According to Native American legend it means I can see both heaven and earth and that makes me a natural protector. I know how to use the doggie door when I have to go potty. I’ve gotten along with big and small people alike and I also like other dogs. I love to meet new people and when you come to visit me, I’ll greet you with lots of kisses.
