Hi… my name is Arthur,

Adopted 11-5-21

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

Why is it that big guys like me almost always want to be lap cats? Well, at the moment, you might not believe it because I’m overwhelmed by everything that’s happened, so I’m keeping a low profile. But if you’d like to sit next to me in a chair by my cubby, I’ll let you scratch my ears and chin all day! My dad moved and couldn’t take me with him (that’s apparent, I guess), but he confirmed that although shy, I love laps, never scratch furniture, am okay with other cats, but afraid of dogs. At 14, I have Vet Care Support for Life, so why not make YOUR lap my next stop?

Hi… my name is Risky,

Adopted 7-24-21

Well, so far, my life hasn’t exactly been a Magical Mystery Tour! I guess the “mystery” part is right, but it’s been a far cry from magical. A wildlife response team trapped me trying to get into Wal-Mart, but they realized I wasn’t really feral and brought me here. I’ll admit I was a bit shaken (and still guarded after that experience, what with all the hullabaloo!), but I’m slowly recovering, and once I’m wrapped in a blanket and held, I start purring to beat the band. It may take me a while to trust everyone again, but I’m still a kitten, so I just need you to bring out the lover in me!

Adopted 1-7-21

MANDY is a sweet 3-year-old, 22-pound Whippet/Beagle mix girl that needs a loving home. Foster who rescued her would like her to be with a family that has more time for her. Mandy is fully house/potty trained (asks to go out) and loves dogs and cats of all sizes especially little ones her size or smaller. She knows sit and come. She is spayed and takes medication for Valley Fever (she loves her pills inside Marshmallows – about $50 a month). She is leash trained – walks/runs on 1 front leg and the opposite back leg. The lame back leg was apparently fused at birth. Her front leg is due to the Valley Fever. Mandy can easily jump up and down off the couch. She can be left alone at home without any concern, and she likes a crate to use when she wants to rest. Mandy is an Angel… well behaved, loving and all around best snuggler ever!  There is no adoption fee for Mandy. If you would welcome her into a loving home, please call Shawna from 8 AM to 5 PM at 520-878-3732.

Hi… my name is Otis (aka Magnum),

Adopted 1-30-21

When I first arrived at TALGV, I was just a puppy who started my basic training in a foster home. Now I’m back, I’m a big puppy who still needs consistent training. I love people, but because I’m a big pup and play rough, I need a home without small children. In my previous home I got along with their dog, but I didn’t like the cat. I ask to go out, use the doggie door and I love long walks. I’m crate-trained and understand the commands “sit” and “down.” I’m a Bluetick Coonhound and I can get bored if not kept busy. I need a “leader,” a patient, loving person who’s willing to continue my training and understand my breed. If this sounds like you, then an introduction could seal the deal.

Hi… my name is Ernie,

Adopted 3-6-21

In case you didn’t know, the pitter-patter of kitten feet soothes the soul! The lady who writes the cat biographies adopted my brother, and she said that if I’m even half as wonderful as him, someone is going to get one incredibly loving, entertaining, and handsome purrpot (all I need is a touch to get going!). The family who adopted me had to move, so after having had a wonderful few months living with them and another kitten, I’m hopeful I can do that again. I love sitting in your lap to give little kisses and nuzzle your eyelashes, and then get my mojo going and do my run-around-the-house-checking-everything-out routine. So c’mon, let’s enjoy life together!

Hi… my name is Snoopy,

Adopted 1-3-21

I was found roaming around an apartment complex and was taken in by a lady who unfortunately couldn’t keep me. She brought me to TALGV because she knew I would find a home. After 2 ½ weeks she knew me well enough to discover that I know how to sit, lie down, and come here when told. I walk pretty well on a leash and enjoy field trips. I’m also good in the house and ask to go out. I’m a sweet boy (her words), like children, love to cuddle, and I’m also willing to share a bed. Even with a name like Snoopy, I prefer to think of myself as inquisitive. If you’re inquisitive too and want to find out more about me, please call for an appointment.
