What better to call a guy who was found in the Wrangler Ranch area of Sahuarita? Well, you can call me anything you like (although I’d suggest Mr. Wonderful), as long as you take me home! Cats always gaze longingly out windows dreaming of that “grass is greener” side of the street, but take it from me, being out there and fending for yourself isn’t all it’s cracked up to be (and it’s not all that green in the desert anyway)! I’m finding that doubly true ‘cause I’m loving all the attention and petting I’m getting here (not to mention the reliable food), so why not give me a whole new slant on indoor life?

I first arrived at TALGV after I was found near Santa Cruz Valley Hospital. A short time later I was adopted and went to live with a family who already had a resident dog, a 14-year-old male. It could be I wanted to get his attention, but by my being a little too pushy, we just didn’t get along. Then I was returned, along with compliments from my previous owner. It was pointed out that I’m very friendly and love to be petted and cuddled. I also love my walks, playing fetch, my chew toys, and of course….treats. I may use the doggie door and can sit, but I obviously need further behavior training to complete my education. If you have the time and patience and you’re looking for love, look no further; I’m here!

You’d be hard pressed to come up with a better name for me! Since I was found as a stray, my history is in the “who knows?” category, but what we do know is that I’m a very mellow fellow. They’ve discovered that I’m FeLV positive (so have Vet Care Support for Life), so I need to be your one and only (or live with another FeLV cat). I’m dreaming of a home where my people will be sure I stay safe inside, and I’ll be free to spend my time sharing all the love I’ve got bottled up instead of looking over my shoulder. If you’re looking for something distinctive in a cat (OK, we’re ALL distinctive in our own ways), I’m your gal! No one’s sure how it occurred, but I’ve got the most charming cauliflower ear, and it just adds a certain je ne sais quoi to my already endearing personality! When my mom was evicted from her home, my sister (who’s already found a home, lucky lady!), and I lost our home, too. I was pretty shy when I first arrived, but now all it takes is a little glance and kind word and I’m all love and purrs. I’ll bet there’s nothing that’ll help you beat the summer doldrums more than hunkering down with me!
