Hi… my name is Rowdy,

Returned to previous owner 4-13-19

Back when I was a “too tiny puppy,” I was rescued from a puppy mill. My human mom and dad believed that’s why I’ve always been anxious and distrustful of people generally, but Mom and I developed a “deep and abiding love for each other,” (quoting her niece). For 8 years, I was happy as could be with Mom and Dad, and “they would never in a million years have given me up” if serious illness had not made it impossible for them to take care of me. As hard as it was to say goodbye, Mom said it gave her great peace of mind to know I’d be well cared for. And since she believed in me, I do too. Someone else will love lively, unique little me, and I’m hoping it’s you.

Hi… my name is Rocky,

Adopted 3-16-19

I hope I can be forgiven for being a bit anxious sometimes, ‘cause my family moved and left me outside with no food, water, or “fare thee well!” I’m not always that way though, as a kindhearted lady took me in and planned to keep me until her newly discovered cat allergies popped up. She said I was very gentle, gave a lot of licks and love, and liked to play fetch with a rubber band, so you know I’ve still got lots of living and playing to do (at 7 years old there’s still a long way to go!). I just know that everyone else’s loss is going to be your fortune when you make me yours!

Hi… my name is Coco,

Adopted 3-30-20

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life.

I was adopted as a puppy. Eight years later, I’m back at TALGV, since my Dad had to move and couldn’t bring me along. It has taken me a while to reattach to new friends, but now, my volunteer trainer says, “Coco is a turn-key dog!” I’m a smart female shepherd mix who loves to learn. When on an overnight visit, she said I settled in, didn’t jump up on the furniture, learned quickly which room was off limits, and slept with my moo cow next to her bed. I loved my recent outing with another volunteer who took me for a fun car ride, then a good walk, and a yummy Puppuccino at Dutch Brothers! I come with Vet Care Support for Life and a heart that will be yours forever.

Hi… my name is Apollo,

Adopted 4-22-19

I was found by Circle K, across from Walmart, off Duval Mine Road. Pretty specific, eh? But how did I get there? We don’t know. And since I’m such a charming, handsome fellow—modest, too—we know I was meant to be found! (That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.) But, seriously, I’m very grateful to be here. And I admit to being a little starved for human attention. When visitors come see me, I want them to stay! It’s so great to have a kind, friendly person’s company. I’m an energetic 1-1/2-year-old, about 54 pounds, and right now an active life is great for me. If I wiggle when we meet, it’s just because I’m so happy to see you. And if I can add fun to your life, I’m all yours!
