Hi… my name is Tutone,

Adopted 1-3-21

Here’s one recipe for getting rescued: Pick a house. Show up every morning and evening looking really lost and hungry. Get fed (all my rescuer had was dog food, but that was okay by me — I just gobbled it down!). Go looking for your lost owner during the day, then come back and sit there looking forlorn. Rescuer will give you a nice warm carrier to sleep in. Then never leave the porch, look wistfully inside, and convey the obvious desire to be a house cat! Well, most of it worked except I didn’t get to stay ‘cause of the dog, but I’ll bet someone else will fall for my moves in a minute! I’m a loving, handsome 7-year-old guy with plenty of stories to share and advice to give!

Hi… my name is Adobo,

Adopted with Chipotle 3-17-18

There are “bad environments” and then there are really, really BAD environments, and that’s what I came from. There were about 30 of us in a hoarding situation, and thankfully an incredibly dedicated woman rescued all of us over the course of a few months. Several of my companions and I ended up here, and when we arrived, almost all of us had one sort of affliction or another. It’s been a long road to recovery, but we’re OK now, and SO ready to have places of our own. I’m a sweet young boy, and although still a bit shy from my ordeal, I have a huge heart and know I’ll warm up in no time and fill your house with affection, one purr at a time!

Hi… my name is Sylvester,

Adopted 5-5-18

Being almost killed by a coyote when I was a kitten left a lasting impression on me, as try as I might, I could never get along with the dog I lived with in my second home (I’m not crazy about cats either), so I think I was meant to be a human-only companion. But in that area, I just shine! My dad had me for four of my 9½ years and finally had to choose between the dog and me and, well, you can see who won! He did say said that I love people and attention, like to play with toys on strings, and am very curious (no surprise there, I’m a cat!), so if you have a soft spot for survivors, won’t you give me one more chance?

Hi… my name is Gramps,

Adopted 12-15-17

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

When my mom had to move to a place that didn’t allow cats, my housemate, Busted, and I went to live with friends who had their own cats and dogs, and it was not a match made in heaven! Actually, I got along with some of them, but between animals and kids, it was pretty crowded, so I guess it’s best that I find a new human to love. Even though I’m a 10-year-old (who has free vet care), I’m still pretty playful, am a sweetheart who loves attention, snuggling close, and am a “good cat to drink coffee with!” Hey, if that doesn’t set your heart all aflutter, then come sit with me a while we’ll establish a quiet affinity that’ll do the trick!

Hi… my name is Juan,

Adopted 1-10-18

Juan has earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

Things were going great with my new family, but then I had to return to TALGV due to my dad’s illness, which made me sad because I’m a very sensitive guy. If you visit, you may see me watching people go by with a reflective expression in my eyes. I yearn to be with them, to be someone’s happy friend. And I try my best to please—I ride well in a car, have great house manners, and, with my short legs, I don’t readily jump on furniture. I’m not a big barker, but I do love to be admired, and you know what? That admiration could be a two-way street if we meet heart-to-heart and see the best in each other. What do you say? Will you let me devote myself to you?

Hi… my name is Ralphie,

Adopted 2-25-18

Please let me show you—up close and personal—why people say that “dog is man and woman’s best friend.” (Cats have their meaningful proverbs, too, but I’ll let them speak for themselves.) I was a stray dog, covered in cactus needles, and that only made me happy to be found. My rescuer said I love people, which leads to the top reason a dog could be your best friend—we love unconditionally. At just 18-months old, I’m active but can be mellow, too, and, as your friend, affectionate when you want me to be. Already good on a leash, I’m a red and white Boxer/Staffie mix male, 58 pounds, who’s eager to learn more good-dog things to please you. And if you say the word, I’ll be the loyal, loving companion you deserve forever.
