Hi… my name is Boogie Woogie,

Adopted 9-16-17

Comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

When someone names you Boogie Woogie, you can expect to have fun. And did we ever! My person and I were together 15 happy years, so when he died, I was lonely. But I remember the important lessons he taught me, including how simple things can make every day a good day. Like walks. I love my daily walks—the exercise, fresh air, time shared with a friendly person. (I’m good on a leash, too.) I’m a Jack Russell Terrier female, 14 pounds, and now 16 years old so I don’t hear as well as I used to and I sleep a lot. But I’m still great company, especially for people who also enjoy the simple life. If that’s you, we should get together and make every day a good day for us!

Hi… my name is Blue,

Adopted 10-3-17

When I first came here, I didn’t know whether to cower in the corner or make a flying leap into the first friendly lap I saw. So I did a bit of both. I’m just an 8-month-old Heeler male, 35 pounds, accustomed to living with a family, including kids ages 3, 3 and 8. (Dad said I was good with the kids, even slept with them, but sometimes played rough—need some puppy education on how to always play nice.) Unfortunately, my family moved to a new apartment where I couldn’t go, so I need a new family—one wonderful person or more! I’m playful, still a little fearful and so not always friendly with new people, but very eager to love, learn, and live happily ever after. Could that please be with you?

Hi… my name is Muggles,

Adopted 10-10-17

Muggles comes with FREE Vet Care for Life.

Don’t ever let anyone tell you that being toothless hinders eating! My dad said that I eat “almost anything” and that includes both canned and dry. (I had some serious dental problems a while back that necessitated their removal, but I’ve been just fine since.) My dad adopted me after I arrived a few years ago from a very crowded situation (twelve cats and three dogs!), so going from bedlam to one-on-one was just heaven! We’ve been a happy couple ever since, but lately I’ve had a few accidents, and since dad was getting up in years (like me!) he was finding it harder to care for me. I’m a laid back, affectionate 15-year-old gentleman (with free vet care) whose toothless “grin” is sure to enchant you!

Hi… my name is Robby,

Adopted 3-2-18

Robby has earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

I’m such a happy, always-glad-to-see-you kind of guy that you may be pleasantly surprised by my seriously excellent credentials. For instance, I’ve earned my Canine Good Citizen certificate for an outstanding performance in the behavior department. I know “sit,” “stay,” and “down,” how to behave well at home and in public, and I’m leash trained. Asked to list my strengths, my former owner started with “he minds.” Now, the fun stuff: I play ball, like car rides, and my former family said I was great with kids. They’re moving and couldn’t take me with them, which is disappointing, but friends say my future is bright. I’m a friendly black and white 5-year-old male, currently 53 pounds, and I’m so ready to be somebody’s best buddy forever that all you need to add is love.

Hi… my name is Patty (aka Dot),

Adopted 2-23-18

Patty comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

My door sign could read “Visitors Welcome” because I’m a friendly dog who loves the attention of people. As a grown-up, an 8-1/2-year-old, I can be gentle and calm, walk by your side, nicely leash trained. But also, just being me, I’m outgoing and fun-loving, too. At my former home, a gate or door was too often left open and I’d wander out, looking for friends—fun, but not safe. A new home will be best, and I’m excited about finding someone new who cares about me. I’m a 54-pound female, a brindle and white sweetie who has free vet care for life, dreaming of my forever home—that place where we’re happy just being together, having fun and taking care of each other. If that’s “home” for you, too, I’d love to be yours!

Hi… my name is Magic,

Adopted 10-11-17

A stroke of luck—perhaps a magic moment—made me a TALGV dog. A volunteer was walking between the buildings when, out of the corner of her eye, she spied me running loose in a neighbor’s parking lot. She called and I happily ran to her. I’d probably been out in the hot weather for some time because my paw pads were swollen and peeling, so you can imagine how great these cool floors felt to me. And as glad as I am to be here, my new friends seem just as glad to have me! They say I’m adorable, calm, and attentive to my person. Just 5 months old, I’m a sweet tan and white female, about 35 pounds, who is ready for that best magic moment of all—when you make me yours.

Hi… my name is Bruno,

Adopted 12-23-17

Would you believe that more than one volunteer has fallen in love with me? It’s true! Oh, I understand—when you hear “87-pound American Bulldog male,” the word “adorable” may not leap to mind, but my new friends call me that. I think they get a kick out of knowing that while I’m big and may even look tough, I’m really an extraordinarily sweet and mellow guy. They see my big heart shining through and know that I’m a 4-year-old who likes to play (including getting sprayed with water), and especially appreciates the kindness of gentle people. Originally found in the pecan groves, I arrived with some health issues and while those are being addressed, I’m dreaming of the friend whose love lasts forever—the one who takes you home. Could that be you?

Hi… my name is Dana,

Adopted 9-3-17

You’ve probably heard that even among dogs, hounds are known for their exceptional sense of smell. So, since I appear to be a hound dog mix, maybe I was found near a store because I could smell dog food in there! (Like most lost dogs, I was hungry.) My rescuer kept me for two weeks while trying to find my owner, and she said I was okay with cats, good in the house, and leash trained. Once here, I was shy at first, but always sweet and glad for the company of people. A 1-year-old female, I have an athletic build (49 pounds), enjoy exercise, look good in my short easy-care coat, and please everyone with my good and gentle nature. I hope I’ll please you, too—in the happy home we share forever.
