Hi… my name is Gunter,

Adopted July 19, 2016

I bet you can tell just by looking at me that I’d be so happy to find a forever friend. Maybe that’s what I was trying to do when my rescuer spotted me in her neighborhood. When she realized I was lost, she brought me to TALGV, where my search for a special someone (or maybe someones) continues. The volunteers tell me my day will come because I’m real cute—from my happy grin to my attention-getting ears (always a fun topic of conversation!)—and, most importantly, because I’m especially sweet, something that comes naturally to me and people really like. I’m a 1-year-old Staffie mix male, mainly gray with white markings, about 49 pounds, and full of hope that you’ll say I can be yours. Won’t you please let me love you forever!

Hi… my name is Lolita,

Adopted June 11, 2016

Even though I don’t have a home or person of my own right now, I consider myself one lucky little dog! At just 7 pounds, I might be easily missed on a big road, but when I scurried across La Canada, a very alert person spotted me. Then she stopped and rescued me! Whew! That close call was a good reminder of how wonderful people can be. And now I’m hoping to find another wonderful person, or persons, who will spot me here. If you stop in to say hi, you’ll see that I’m very friendly and really love people. And if you take me home and love me, I’ll do my best to bring more happiness and laughter to your life every day. I’m a 5-year-old Chihuahua female, who’d love to be yours!

Hi… my name is Sadie,

Adopted July 16, 2016

You may spot me at TALGV even without knowing my name. When things get very busy, sometimes even with noise and commotion, I remain calm and quiet. Oh, I’m interested in everyone who goes by, but I’m often the most peaceful little dog you could hope to see. I’m an 8-year-old adorable Beagle/Pug mix female, a little chubby at 34 pounds, who looks up at you with my big brown eyes as if to say, “do you want to go for a walk?” or maybe “would you like to share a quiet moment or cuddle?” The person who found me in Rancho Sahuarita said I was very good with kids, good in the house, and could smile! I’m ready to give my most special smile to you, on the day you take me home.

Hi… my name is Oregano,

Adopted July 18, 2016

Okay, I guess I have to fess up: I seem to prefer women and dogs to kids and men! At least that’s what my mom said when she returned me after six months. I arrived at TALGV when I was a baby (with my four other spice-themed siblings), and I had high hopes that my new home was going to be the forever kind. Sadly, that didn’t work out so I once again have high hopes that there’s just the perfect place for me ‘cause they say there’s a home for every pet somewhere in the world — you’ve just got to find the perfect fit! With my bespattered black and white fur and random abstract markings, I’m a “looker” too, so won’t you give me one more chance?

Hi… my name is Henry,

Adopted June 9, 2016

If I knew how I became lost, I’d tell you in a heartbeat. All we know is that I was found by a couple who took care of me overnight and then brought me here. I was still a little scared when we arrived, but the volunteers could tell I was a nice dog right away. They said it looked like I’d been out on my own for a while, which is a dangerous prospect for any dog and extremely so for a little 15 pound guy like me. I’m a white, 2-year-old Wire Haired Terrier male, and now that I’m safe again, I’m back to dreaming my happy dream: Someone wonderful will find me here, see the great companion I will be, and make me theirs. Could you make my dream come true?

Hi… my name is Mr. Kitty Cat,

Adopted 12-16-16

Mr. Kitty Cat is FIV Positive & comes with FREE Vet Care for Life.

I may have used up a few of my nine lives, but I’m still “alive and kicking” despite my travails! I survived on the streets for years until my mom gave me a wonderful home, but sadly, end-stage COPD necessitated her moving in with her daughter, who is allergic to cats. My mom dearly loved me, and said that I was a sweet boy who was a good companion, quiet and independent, and very tolerant of the resident dog. I’ve lost quite a few teeth along the way, and tested positive for FIV (but don’t let that scare you away because I may never have any symptoms) and still can eat up a storm! With Free Vet Care for Life and a great personality, you can’t go wrong with me!
