Hi… my name is Roxie.

Adopted August 22, 2015

I wish I could tell you my whole story and confide in you what made me shy, but for now will just say that I was so hungry for company that I approached a stranger’s house. He couldn’t keep me, so now I’m at TALGV, where my new friends are helping me build my confidence. They compliment my graceful movements and my beautiful brindle coat. I’m a 55-pound Boxer/Lab mix, so I have an athletic kind of build, but I’m good at stepping gently. Of course, I’d love to feel free to play and know the joy of hanging out with someone whose friendship I can always count on, so if that sounds good to you, too, please come for a visit. We can make lots of happy future stories together!

Hi… my name is Sugar Bear.

Adopted October 30, 2015

My foster mom and I talked about this message and here’s what we want to say: If you’re looking for a relaxed couch potato, I’m your man. I enjoy daily walks around the neighborhood to say hello to everyone, and I LOVE car rides, but no hiking or mile runs. When foster mom gets up at 4 a.m., I get up, go outside, and go back to bed. However, if you rustle pans in the kitchen, I’ll come running. I could be your sous chef! I’m not food aggressive, though. I’ve lived with dogs and cats, and I like them. I’m a 9-year-old Beagle, about 40 pounds. Foster mom says I’m “just a wonderful dude.” If I could be your happy guy, please ask TALGV to arrange a meet and greet for us.

SHORTY is a handsome 2-year-old medium-haired grey and white boy who would like to be your new best friend. He needs a new home because owner had to leave behind when moving away suddenly. Shorty loves to sleep in your bed and to sit next to you on the sofa. He has a great temperament and gets along well with other cats. He adjusts well to a new environment within a few days. Shorty is neutered, in good health, and his shots are up to date courtesy of TALGV. If you would give this great guy a loving inside home, please call Doris between 8 AM and 8 PM at 405-312-7782.

Hi… my name is Blue.

Adopted August 13, 2015

Wouldn’t it be great if dogs always went along when their people moved? My buddy, Bali, and I think so. We lived together, but when our people moved, we didn’t get to go because the new place was smaller and there was no room for us.   Now we’re hoping to find new homes. I’m a 52-pound Heeler male, black, white and tan, and still young enough to have lots of energy and playfulness. Playing ball is one of my favorite things. I know the sit and outside commands, and would love to spend time with you learning more. I think the best thing in the world would be to have a truly forever home. If you have room in your heart and home for me, I would love to be your new best friend.

Hi… my name is Bali (aka Bella).

Adopted February 17, 2016

When my family moved and couldn’t take me with them, I was sad, of course, but right away started believing someone else could love me, too. I remember all the good things I’ve learned, like “sit,” “down” and “stay.” Best of all, I know how important it is to love somebody. I try to show that when I meet new people by wiggling and sometimes speaking in my high soprano happy bark. And once I’ve adjusted to the joy of someone noticing me, I’ll walk calmly by their side on the leash, occasionally looking up just to let them know I’m noticing them, too. I’m a comfy-size adult Boxer mix female with a big loving heart who’d be happy to meet you and thrilled to belong to you. Please come visit me today!

Hi… my name is Angel.

Adopted August 9, 2015

When I was on my own, without a human or a home, I lived under a bridge. Someone was feeding me, but I was always hungry and thin. And when I walked out on the road, trying to find something better, I had some dangerously close calls with cars. Then my life changed in a wonderful way. Today I’m at TALGV. Here, I’m learning what it is to be safe and cared for, and it’s a great feeling.  My sweet and loving nature can shine through now that I’m with friends. And with regular meals, I may soon weigh a bit more than my current 64 pounds. I’m a female St. Bernard mix, about 1-1/2 years old, and if you come for a visit, I’ll show you what a beautiful, fun companion I can be.

Hi… my name is Kevin.

Adopted August 7, 2016

I came to TALGV after being noticed at a gas station on Sahuarita Road, in need of help because I was lost. On that lucky day for me, a kind man gave me a ride to TALGV, where now I’m safe and sound. I’m also happy because I get to spend time with people, which is one of my all-time favorite things. My stocky build makes me look athletic, and I do like going for walks, but my best activity is working hard at people pleasing. I’m a Bulldog/Staffie mix male, white with a big brown spot where my tail begins. If you like me, too, it could be my luckiest day yet. Let’s have a visit and see if we’re ready to share lots of happy days together.

Hi… my name is Titan.

Adopted August 20, 2015

I was found at Sahuarita Lake, but it wasn’t a walk in the park for me. I was lost. A kind human asked around the neighborhood, but no one knew me. So now I’m here, at TALGV, where my new friends are taking care of me after those tough, on-my-own days. With their help, I’m quickly becoming the happy, handsome Husky I’m meant to be. I’m already a good-natured, friendly guy. My coat is silver, black and white, and I’m about 64 pounds and 3 years old. You may have noticed my one brown eye and one blue eye, which is kinda cool, but I’m hoping the main thing you notice is what a naturally good companion I can be. If you come for a visit, maybe we’ll each find our next best friend!

Hi… my name is Ecco.

Adopted August 23, 2015

My buddy, Jacks, and I were sad to say goodbye to our person when he moved to a nursing home, but now we’re hoping to say hello to our new home! I’ll do my best to bring lots of happiness with me. People tell me I have a happy face, and I think that means I make them happy. I like people, have good house manners, and enjoy going for walks. I’m also exceptionally good at just relaxing with you and looking cute. I’m an 8-year-old female, mainly white, and at just 14 pounds, I’m very soft and cuddly. My wonderful friend Jacks and I have kind of grown up together, so we really want to stay together. Could we live happily ever after with you?

Po

Hi… my name is Po,

Adopted October 30, 2015

Life hasn’t always been gentle with me—I had signs of recent wounds when found—but my TALGV friends say I’m a dog version of what humans call a gentleman. Maybe that’s due to my easy-going nature and quiet dignity, but I want you to know that I love to have fun, too.   I love car rides, and if one takes us to a community event, I’ll calmly interact with adults, kids, and most other dogs. At age 7 and 59 pounds, I’m still a strong guy, but you have my full attention when we’re walking together and you can count on me to respond to your instructions. I’m curious, alert, and interested in the world around us. How about we meet today to see if we can enjoy this wonderful world together!
