Animal League News

Hi… my name is Jasper,

Adopted 10-5-22

Despite my name, I am a lady! And a dainty, lovely one at that! (Think orange sherbet without the calories and you have my lovely orange fur coat.) I was found by a young man coming home from school in Tucson. For two weeks his family tried to find my owner, but they could not. So, they brought me to The Animal League. I am very friendly and sweet. I like to be held—the perfect lap cat! I even enjoy belly rubs! I am gentle with adults and children, but I don’t know about dogs. Won’t you please come meet me so I can charm you? We could be great companions!

Hi… my name is Chicklets,

Adopted with Tiger 2-1-23

I am an adorable member of the Chewing Gum Litter. We arrived at The Animal League from Globe, Arizona. Quite a ride for ten kittens! Found as strays, we needed a place to grow before being adopted into our own homes. Well, now I’m ready! Just come to meet me. I’m friendly although a little skittish since I haven’t been around many humans. The kind volunteers are teaching me the advantages of being petted and played with. I like it! I have beautiful markings and very soft fur. I am longing for my own first real home. Please come meet me and see if I could go home with YOU!

Hi… my name is Livingston,

Adopted 10-14-22

I was found alone in the parking lot of a grocery store—I was skinny and needed help! Luckily, I went to live with my foster mom who fluffed me up and gave me lots of TLC. She says I’m a mellow, quiet boy who still has to grow into my ears and paws. I like to cuddle but am equally happy to sleep on you or under a bed. I’m okay being around other cats. My coat is mostly gray tabby but I have a white chest and paws. I’d love to find a nice home where I can do my growing up and spend another of my nine lives. Let’s meet!

Hi… my name is Bissell,

Adopted 11-7-22

I am one special kitty according to my foster mom and dad. I lived with them and other cats and two large dogs. I am extremely affectionate and like to cuddle with everyone—humans, felines and canines! I may head-butt you to get your attention, but my non-stop purring will reward you for accommodating me! I am very athletic. I run and jump and play with my toys. Being active, I roll over on the scale when I’m being weighed. I’m very curious in a kitten way. My foster parents say that I’m wonderful and that whoever adopts me will be very lucky! Could that be YOU? If you love displays of affection, I’m your kitty.

Hi… my name is Angel,

Adopted 10-15-22

When my human passed away, I was brought to The Animal League since no one in the family could care for me. Although I miss my human, I am looking for a home where I can share my love. I appreciate cuddles with my human. I love to play with toys. I may be shy with visitors at first, but I long for companionship. I also like to “do my own thing” (very cat-like, don’t you think?). It is unknown if I’m good with other cats, dogs or children. I have lived my life being the “one and only” pet. So, do you have a home for me? We might just be the perfect match!

Hi… my name is Sampson,

Adopted 11-22-22

Deep in my heart, I am a lap dog! But I hide it well from people I don’t know (yet.) My last family said I was loving but protective of them. They called me, “easily trained.” Of course I am: I know that I’m smart! I have learned “stay” and “down” and also how to tell someone when I need to go potty. Plus, I know how to use a doggie door. I haven’t been around children much, but have gotten along with people and other dogs alike. My mom got sick, so I need to find a new home for myself. If you have a bit of patience and are looking for a handsome boy with a comical smile, perhaps you should visit so we can get acquainted? I’ll be waiting!

Hi… my name is Emerald,

Adopted 10-14-22

I am one little lady! I have a soft gray fur coat with white chin and four white paws. I was found in a Tucson neighborhood. Who knows how long I had been wandering around? Since the rescuers could not care for me, they brought me here. A big thanks to them!  At The Animal League I am being very well cared for. The volunteers are caring for both my physical and emotional needs. I need much Tender Loving Care to heal. With patience, my sweet personality will shine just like my fur coat! Won’t you come meet me?  You may be my answer for a human to love!

Hi… my name is Ace,

Adopted 11-5-22

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

Due to my senior status, I have Vet Care Support for Life. What a grand boy I am! I have a cocked right ear that lets you know I’m thinking. And I’m thinking I need my very own home. My past includes several homes where my humans became ill and had to bring me back to The Animal League. (I began my life here as a kitten.) Well, it’s a great place, but I long for my own human to cuddle with and love. I have lived with other cats and dogs but not children, so I don’t know about living with them. My preference would be a quiet home with adults. Could that be with you?

Hi… my name is Jessie,

Adopted 10-5-22

For being a stray, I am VERY friendly. I “mew” for attention and prefer being petted over playing with a toy. How’s that for a sweet cat? I’m a petite, almost tiny, little lady.  I have a long tail that I must grow into! I have soft white fur with gray markings.   I’m a beauty, if I do say so myself! The volunteers at The Animal League are so kind to me. They feed and shelter me, as well as play and pet me.  However, I would LOVE to share a home with my very own human(s).  If you are looking for a darling with great personality, please come check me out! I’m waiting for you!
