Animal League News

Hi… my name is Sojourner,

Adopted 10-18-22

I am a petite young lady who was brought to The Animal League along with my kittens. They are all finding homes of their own which pleases me. I am longing for my own home of safety and love. As a stray, not much is known about my life. However, the comforts of meals and a bed, plus kind volunteers petting me is something I really appreciate! I have a lovely orange fur coat with white under my chin. My golden eyes will charm you if my purring doesn’t first! When you come to meet me, be sure to pet my soft fur coat. I’m a beauty you don’t want to miss!

Hi… my name is Curry,

Adopted 1-19-23

My lady friend was in a family way so we found just the right apartment where a nice lady took us in.  After the kittens were born she brought us all to The Animal League where we are getting excellent care. With the family in good hands, I’m looking for a nice home. I’m pretty shy and will hiss sometimes. The volunteers here are working with me and I’m getting more comfortable with being touched. I have a sweet face that shows I’m interested in people, but I need the courage to get close. The right person could draw me out. Would that special someone be you? I promise to try!

Hi… my name is Grace (akaFrankie),

I was just a 1-year-old youngster when I was adopted from TALGV six years ago. Then my “dad” passed away. His family, even though they tried, couldn’t keep me. Now I’m hoping to find a new “forever” home. I’ve been gentle and tolerant around children ranging in ages from 2 to 14. I’m leash and house trained, know how to “sit” and “lay,” can use a doggie door, and ask to “go potty.” I’ve already enjoyed visiting the TALGV play yard, but have yet to be introduced to a neighbor who can meet me for a playdate. I enjoy my daily walks. They’re helping me regain my girlish figure, plus I get to spend time with the volunteers.  What girl doesn’t like attention? Now it’s my turn to get YOUR attention. Please take me home!!

Hi… my name is Erin,

Adopted 9-29-22

My family consists of my mom (Ella), my brother (Earl), and me. We all arrived at The Animal League, after being found roaming around and lost. I’m an approximately 4-month-old Black Mouth Cur/Staffie mix female. Earl and I may not look a lot like  mom, but you can tell we’re family. Like all puppies my age, I’m “feeling my oats and ready to take on the world,” whatever that means. From what I hear, it means now’s the perfect time to learn good behavior and the basic commands to help us with that. After doing a good job rearing us, mom thinks we’re ready to find our own forever home. I guess I’m ready, even though it won’t be easy at first. I’ll need a lot of love and patience, but mostlyIll need YOU!

Hi… my name is Earl,

Adopted 10-17-22

After we were found, my mom (Ella), sister (Erin), and I were brought to The Animal League to help find our forever homes. I’m an approximately 4-month-old Black Mouth Cur/Staffie mix male. Erin and I probably get our good looks from both mom and dad. Mom is with us, waiting for us to find loving homes of our own. It will be hard leaving my family, but because mom did a good job rearing us, I know I’ll do great. From what Erin hinted (her words) we’re both “full of oats and ready to take on the world.” I suppose that means we’ve reached an age for knowing how to behave and learning some basic commands that will help in the future. I’ll need your patience, but mostly I’ll want… YOUR LOVE!

Hi… my name is Ella,

Adopted 9-6-22

Monsoon season is not the best time for a young mother and her two pups to be without a home. Thankfully we were brought to The Animal League and safety. My pups, Erin and Earl, are approximately 4 months old. I’m a good mom who wants her puppies to find loving forever homes. Let me be honest with you: I’m about 3 years old, and I want the same thing! I enjoy car rides and my daily walks, and since I have “puppy sitters” available, I love having some “me” time without the kids. So I recently attended an event with several of my canine friends from TALGV. I’m a happy, affectionate and sociable gal who’s always ready for human company. Soon I’ll be an empty-nester and ready for my forever home. Get the hint?

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Lunchbox,

Adopted 10-21-22

I hung out in a man’s yard with my younger siblings until he brought us in to The Animal League. I’m a petite young man and I love to play. My coat is almost equal amounts white and gray and very soft.  I like to approach new people. You can pick me up but I may not stay in your lap—I have too much to explore! With me you can expect friendliness and energy—isn’t that a good combination? It would be awesome if I could find a home with another playmate. If you’re looking for something to liven up your house, I could be just the ticket. Let’s meet!

Hi… my name is Phoenix,

Adopted 9-13-22

I think I used up one of my nine lives getting here!  I was found in the desert with my two kittens. Thankfully someone found me and brought me to The Animal League, and we are all okay. I’m ready for a good home now that my kittens are old enough to be on their own. I like petting and chin scratches and will roll over on my back for more—just don’t touch my tummy. I’m happy hiding under a blanket here while I’m waiting for my new parents, but I think I’ll easily become more outgoing in the right home. My child-bearing years are over and I’m ready to settle down—with you?
