Hi… my name is Lance,

Being the free-spirited boy that I am, I decided to go on an adventure. Fortunately for me, I safely ended up at TALGV. I’m friendly, outgoing, and love people, and often express my feelings (and opinions) vocally. That’s the “nature of my breed,” and so is stubborness. All I need is firm, gentle training! I love playing and exercising, and I admit that floral scents stimulate me. I walk and take corrections well on a leash, but tend to pull. Training on loose leash walking is recommended. I ride well in a vehicle, sit on command, and know how to wait and go when requested. My amount of agitation to other dogs depends on distance, my “threshold” range. Speaking of threshold, I hear your home  has one! That’s one threshold I’m willing to live with…forever.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is River (aka Canoa),

Adopted 12-11-21

There’s nothing a healthy, young, Husky gal enjoys more than an adventure, and that’s probably the reason I’m here now. In my former home, whenever I had nothing else to do, I would jump a 6’ wall and wander around my neighborhood. Since my mom couldn’t prevent the “unauthorized outings,” she brought me to TALGV to find a home that could. I’m very affectionate and I love people. I need companionship, but I can get bored and in trouble when left alone too long. I’m leash trained, though I get excited when I see other dogs. I’m okay with cats, can use a doggie door, or ask to go out. I like chicken and chicken jerky, I love to play and need a lot of exercise. If you can accommodate me, I’m here for you!   (Note: bio needs revision)

Hi… my name is Kodiak,

Adopted 8-24-21

If you just happen to be looking for a canine companion who’s an excellent loose-leash walker, climbs into vehicles, and happily settles down for the ride, look no further. I’m an 8-month-old Husky mix boy and even though I already know the meaning of “sit,” “wait,” and “let’s go,” I’m young enough to be trained, by you, to understand and obey additional commands. When out walking, I pay attention to my surroundings and my handler. I’m curious about other dogs but when provoked I can be mildly reactive. In this situation, it’s helpful that I also understand the command “leave it.” Would you believe I’m not particularly “treat” motivated? I’m not saying I’ll always turn down a tasty morsel because we both know better. Now, get ready, get set, GO to TALGV and ask for me.

Hi… my name is Chase,

Adopted 9-2-21

Can you come and take me somewhere where I can run and play? I’ve been cooped up for awhile. It was a freak accident: I was having fun jumping around my kennel when all of a sudden my leg gave way. Would you believe it was broken? They put all kinds of pins and wires in there and then I got to live with my foster mom for awhile. That was pretty boring because I had to stay “calm,” but it was also nice! She says I’m loving and mostly obedient (although that’s not always my strong suit) and have learned to sit, come, and wait at the door. Maybe I’ll get to go home to a place with kids, so we can jump up and down together—and you know I would sure like that!
