Hi… my name is Kaley.

Adopted July 12, 2015

I ain’t nothing but a hound dog…..a sweet, playful, lots-of-love-to-give hound dog girl! Well, actually, I’m a hound mix, mixed with what we don’t know, but my TALGV friends say it must have been somebody beautiful and sweet because those are characteristics I inherited. I’m solid black, currently 21 pounds, and just 3-1/2 months old, so still a playful and energetic pup. The people who found me said I am gentle and tolerant, too. They let me stay in their house when they were gone and told me I was good, especially when I “asked” to go outside. Those kind people found me in the Los Arroyos neighborhood behind Walmart, right at their front door. Guess I did a good job of choosing my rescuers, and now I’m hoping you will choose me!

Hi… my name is Dottie.

Adopted July 26, 2015

When I was found running on Sahuarita and Colossal Cave Road, I wasn’t there for the exercise! I was a puppy alone in a great big world. On 7/7, a lucky day for me, my kind rescuer stopped and picked me up.   I’m a 27-pound Pointer mix and only about 6 months old, so I’d say I’m the perfect age: Young enough to be adorable and old enough to be ready to learn. The humans here at TALGV think I’m lots of fun—a sweet young girl who is playful and has already peacefully shared a place with another young dog.   I’m hoping you like my distinctive brindle and white coat, and my eager-to-please personality. If you visit me and we like each other, maybe that will be my luckiest day ever!

Hi… my name is Nala.

Adopted August 24, 2015

Like the wise queen Nala in the The Lion King movie, I try to be a loyal, good friend. The person who found me said I walked beside her without a leash (although I agree leashes are good things). I’m friendly with my doggie neighbor, too, but not with small dogs, so I need to be in a home with no small pets. Since I’m about 2 years old, you may be pleasantly surprised by my calm and relaxed behavior. I may even try to give you a soft doggie hug, but I know that should be only when you want one. I’m a 54-pound Staffie mix with a chocolate brown coat (some see it as blue) and white markings, and if you look in my brown eyes, you may see your next great friend.

Hi… my name is Liberty,

Adopted November 28, 2015

You know how some wonderful people just love dogs? Well, I’m a dog who just loves people. If you want to go for a walk, we can enjoy that together.   If you want to just sit quietly, I’m totally content keeping you company.   I’m about 6 years old, a female Staffie mix who is white with faint dark spots. I was found on Sahuarita Road between Nogales Highway and Santa Rita Road. I don’t know all the roads traveled before that, but somewhere along the line I learned to be gentle and loving. I’m hard of hearing, but I know how to sit and if you give me a sign to stay, I will, but I’d rather come with you. And if you take me home, I’ll be your always-happy companion.

Hi… my name is Chops,

Adopted November 27, 2015

When our human mom died recently, my doggie mom, sister, and I needed new homes. I’m very pleased to say the other two have been adopted and now everyone is hoping I’ll be next. I’m a little guy, just 15 pounds, so I fit nicely in your lap or snuggled close in your chair. Personality? Sure! I’m friendly and outgoing; I’ll always be glad to see you. I lived with Mom and Sis all my life, so I can get along with other dogs. However, my human mom’s family said I was not good with children. Looks? Well, I’m a couple of different shades of cream and all kinds of cute. I’m a 3-year-old Terrier and Chihuahua mix, who’s really hoping that you will be my new family.
