Hi… my name is Anna.

Adopted December 13, 2014.

I’d love to be able to tell you a lot of fascinating stuff about my life before TALGV, but I guess that’s not going to happen because I was found wandering on Sahuarita Road. They do know that I’d been adopted from a shelter at one time, but after that, life’s a blank. The volunteers do say, however, that I’m very playful, good with kids and other dogs, love my wading pool (and playing in the mud!), and walk well on leash. So that’s actually quite a bit, isn’t it? I’m a pretty, brindle and white Boxer/Staffie mix lady and I’ll just bet that I could make your whole year if you took me home!

Hi… my name is Carnie.

I was adopted September 4, 2014.

I’ll bet if you know how amazing Border Collies can be, you’re wondering how a little lady like me ended up at “the pound”? Well, it’s a long story, but suffice it to say I’m glad that I’ve now been “relocated” to TALGV! I had quite an ordeal along the way, so I’m a little reserved at the moment, but I’m sure with lots of TLC and a modicum of education, I’m going to do my breed proud! I’m only a few years old, so I’m looking forward to the all years ahead I’ll be able to spend proving you made just the right decision when you took me home!

Hi… my name is Oreo.

Adopted September 21, 2014.

If you’re looking for a young (but not TOO young!), high-energy guy, you’ve come to the right place! I was found near Sahuarita Lake right around July 4th, so they think I may have been frightened by fireworks and got out of my yard. I’ve been hoping someone would come claim me, but that prospect seems more remote each day. But that just means that YOU have a chance to make my life complete! I’m a happy-go-lucky guy, and at a great age (10 months) for learning new stuff (the volunteers are working on that), so when you meet me, I’ll bet you’ll resolve to make me your very own “cookie.”

Hi… my name is Elfie.

Adopted November 21, 2014.
A woman driving on Frontage Road near Elephant Head found me (and a canine buddy) running along the side of the road looking VERY frightened and forlorn (and hot, too, I can tell you!). So you can imagine that I’m just ecstatic to be here at TALGV where I don’t have to worry about cars or other desert critters “getting me!” AND in addition to that, shortly after I arrived, I gave birth to my (last) litter of puppies — so I was doubly happy to have a safe haven in which to raise them! I’m a lovely shepherd mix girl, about a year or two old, and after my babies are gone, I’m going to be looking for a home where my people will cherish me for the sweet-natured girl I am.

Arrived June 2, 2014.
