Hi… my name is Shamus,

Although friends say I’m a “love bug,” I may be shy when we meet. Oh, I want to get to know you, but in my young life I’ve learned to be a little cautious. I first arrived at The Animal League as a skinny puppy with a significant injury to one of my paws. I was soon adopted, but when I grew into the guy you see today—a nice size for a 1-year-old Boxer mix—I was too strong for my adopter. So now I’m back, continuing training on walking, manners, and how to let my sweet, friendly nature shine through. I’m having fun (I love my favorite toys) and holding fast to the best dream ever: The day someone wonderful gives me a forever home. Could you be my someone? (10/2024)
