Hi… my name is Scooter,

Adopted 9-16-24

I’m an 8-year-old dog with a younger pup’s personality! Yes, I might be called a senior canine, but I’m still a lively guy and it shows. Do you know the fetch game? I love playing that. Do you think taking regular walks is a good idea? Me too! If you want to go every day, I’m your walking buddy. And if you ever want to play ball, I’m your guy for that, too. You get the picture. I’m a sweet little guy who recently lost my person and, yes, I miss her. But I still have the energy for lots of happy trails ahead. I just need to find the person or people who’ll take me along. If you could love the active little me, I’m right here at TALGV—ready and waiting for you.

Hi… my name is Shamus,

Adopted 11-30-24

Although friends say I’m a “love bug,” I may be shy when we meet. Oh, I want to get to know you, but in my young life I’ve learned to be a little cautious. I first arrived at The Animal League as a skinny puppy with a significant injury to one of my paws. I was soon adopted, but when I grew into the guy you see today—a nice size for a 1-year-old Boxer mix—I was too strong for my adopter. So now I’m back, continuing training on walking, manners, and how to let my sweet, friendly nature shine through. I’m having fun (I love my favorite toys) and holding fast to the best dream ever: The day someone wonderful gives me a forever home. Could you be my someone? (10/2024)

Hi… my name is Jasper,

Adopted 10-9-24

I think I hit the jackpot! There I was, wandering around a Tucson neighborhood, when finally a nice lady took pity on me and brought me to The Animal League. I’m being treated very well here and I like it, but what I really want is a new home. Until I am able to impress the right person with my charms, I’m hanging out in the cubbies here just watching and waiting for my chance. I’m not scared, and I enjoy all the petting, brushing and scratching I’m getting from the volunteers. I have a handsome black tabby coat, quite fluffy, and big green eyes.  Why not come say hello and see if we click?

Hi… my name is Luna,

Adopted 11-13-24

I’m not sure how I wound up here, and I’m trying to adjust. I’ve always been shy so this is a little difficult—but I have my sister Tobyn here and we comfort each other. Gradually I’m warming up to people and will let you pull me out of my usual corner. I’m a black and white girl who’s been around dogs. My human says I like to sleep on window sills. I’m waiting for a kind and patient friend who can help me feel safe and secure. Being together with Tobyn would help! Come seek us out and let’s see if we have something to work with.

Hi… my name is Cicero,

Adopted 9-11-24

When my family decided to move out of state I couldn’t go with them. Such a shame! Mom says I’m the perfect family cat. I love children (really, people of any age) and got along fine with a dog and other cats. Mom says I will even walk on a leash. I’m a large boy with classic black and white tuxedo markings. I enjoy the attention of the volunteers and will purr my appreciation for petting and brushing. I’m hoping to find another home where I can be part of the family and have fun as your companion. Please come meet me!

Hi… my name is Garrick (aka Kringle),

Adopted 11-20-24

The thing about puppies: They grow up. Maybe I’m biased, but the best puppies grow up to be big dogs! Unfortunately, that seemed to backfire on me because, through no fault of my own, I grew too big for my family to handle. I’m not sure what that means because I will happily show you how polite and well-mannered I am. I love going on long, leisurely walks where we can enjoy the sights, sounds, and sniffs – the last one is mostly for me – LOL! I’m house-trained (obviously), and I yearn to be near people. I’d love to become a member of your family. Please stop by and meet me; references will be furnished upon request! The thing about big dogs: We always find a way to fit into your heart.

ANDI is an amazing, well-trained, and social three-year-old, 98-pound Great Pyrenees/Newfoundland mix female who needs a new home. She is in excellent health, spayed, up to date on shots, and medical records are available. Andi is housebroken and asks to go out.
