I can be a little shy and prefer not to be reached for, but offer me a snack, and I’ll gladly come sit right next to you. When my humans’ health failed and they had to move, my feline companion and I both had to move, too. We came here to The Animal League where my companion has already been adopted. My turn! I’m a handsome Seal Point Siamese boy with blue eyes. I’m gentle, but I don’t like children. At my age I come with Vet Care Support for Life, so don’t hold back on that account. I like sleeping in the cat tree here and enjoy the petting and chin scratches from volunteers. I purr my pleasure. I’m not too active. I’m a gentle, thoughtful girl who prefers to take life at a slower, quieter pace. I was feeling a bit scared when I was first brought to the shelter, so I spent some time in a calm foster home with an older, laid-back dog while I decompressed and figured things out. I may not be immediately ready to interact because it takes me some time to warm up. I believe in boundaries. Shy dogs like me need time to build trust and that trust is worth waiting for! I learn best by watching the world before jumping into it, taking notes from the sidelines. With patience, kindness, and consistency, I know I’ll come out of my shell. I may be quiet at first, but my loyalty runs deep.
