Blind cats don’t often arrive at TALGV, but another guy and I were relinquished within days of each other, so it was “the blind leading the blind” for a while. I tried, but we didn’t get along too well, so I’m exploring my own little habitat, and like all sight-impaired critters, it’ll just take time to adjust to new surroundings. I’m a laidback gentleman who has high blood pressure so am on meds for that, but otherwise I’m in pretty good shape for a 12-year-old (with Vet Care Support for Life). I’m awfully sad here without a person of my own, so living with you in a quiet home would absolutely make my year!

It’s a mystery to me how I got my name, but Pecan it is. I’m a sweet declawed(front paws) lady who currently is very shy, so the volunteers are giving me extra attention to help me overcome my being abandoned at a vet’s office. Fortunately, I was brought here where I’m being fed a variety of delectable treats to fill out my petite frame. And, boy, do I enjoy those extra feedings! Everyone’s catering to my hunger for attention, and although I appreciate that, I’d really love to be in my own home with my own person who can share love and attention with me. Abandoned! My human left me at a local hotel and flew away to parts unknown! Was I ever hurt and upset! A kind hotel employee brought me back to TALGV where I’d been with my sister, Missy, years ago. Our dad raised us from kittens in a joy-filled home; it was a sad day when he had to relinquish us due to his health. Well, Missy is in her own home now, and I’m looking for one last home where we can curl up and be best buddies. Currently, I’m laying low, but warm up to petting and kind words, waiting for that special person to become my new forever companion. Please come meet me!

Just because a guy spends his early life as a “community cat” doing daily battle for the basics doesn’t mean that he’s feral! That’s what they determined when my colony was relocated – they quickly discovered that I love people, petting, and, boy, aren’t those “comforts of home” awesome (that is having food and water delivered to you every day without competition)! Plus you get to spend time being petted and played with – things you never thought would happen to you! So I’d be even more delighted if I could spend the rest of my life with a special person catering to me and helping me enjoy all those things in a home of my own!

Precious—that’s my name and that describes me to a ‘t’. Two peas in a pod we are: my friend Callie and I. We came here because there were too many pets in the home. We got along well with the dogs, children and adults – we’re just well-rounded felines! My mom described us as friendly, outgoing “meeter and greeters” who enjoy playing with toys and cuddling under blankets in cooler weather. We love yummy treats, which is obvious when you meet us (diet control should be in our future!). We’re very social, love everyone, and need to be adopted together. Wouldn’t you love to meet us? Two peas in a pod…that’s what my best friend Precious and I are! Described as outgoing, playful ladies who love to cuddle beside their person (or under a blanket in cooler weather), we love to play with toys or sit by a window to check out the outside world. But don’t worry! We like to stay indoors (and need to be adopted together). We lived with a couple and were gentle with children and also got along with dogs. We love any kind of yummy treats and have put on some weight so perhaps we should be on a more healthy diet. Why don’t you come to TALGV to meet us? We would love that!
