Hi… my name is Boots,

Adopted 1-6-19

“This cat has roamed our neighborhood for weeks, is tame, and loves small dogs so she was obviously raised with one. I noticed a wound on her head, so brought her to TALGV.” That’s apparently my story, so I guess I have to stick with it! I will say that it’s SUCH a relief to have all the stitches our of my head (and doubly so since I no longer have to wear that dreaded “E-collar”!), so now I’m just a happy, affectionate 18-month-old gal who’d love to show you how grateful and loving I can be. I’m hopeful that the New Year will bring me a new (indoor only!) life and person to love!

Hi… my name is Zara,

Adopted 3-16-19

I was running down I-19 with a big male dog when a kindhearted man stopped and rescued us from that dangerous situation. He gave us water, food and baths, but could keep only one of us, and that was my lucky friend. (Maybe he just wanted a boy dog.) I did earn lots of compliments in my ten days there; our rescuer called me “beautiful, athletic, agile, and very sweet.” Now I’m hoping you’ll like me, too. I’m a medium-size female (about 44 pounds), born in November 2017, probably a Shepherd/Lab mix, and although I can be dog reactive, I’ve been very gentle with people. Already leash trained, I know “sit,” will watch you closely to learn more important words, and will always remember that when I was lonely, you took me home.

Hi… my name is Jon-Jon,

Adopted 12-19-18

Comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

I came to TALGV after the death of my dear person. With me I brought my happy, gentle spirit fostered by years spent with someone who loved me, my favorite toys, and one wish: That a wonderful someone will share their home and heart with me. I’m a Chinese Crested male, just 12 pounds, so I could fit on your lap if you like to cuddle, and walk nicely by your side. A very handsome fellow with a wavy grey and white coat, at 11 years of age, I come with FREE vet care for life and here’s hoping that applies for a long time! I was named for a rock star (Jon Bon Jovi) and I’m ready to give you my all when I sing “I Only Want to Be With You.”

Hi… my name is Pumpkin,

Adopted 12-31-18

You know when a cat carries its tail straight up, it’s a sign of a happy, confident feline. Well, you’ve GOT to come meet me, ‘cause mine’s like an antenna – up there waving hello all the time! I’ve been through several home changes since my original owners died, but in the last one, I was very stressed by the cats (and the family couldn’t keep me anyway), so one last place to call my own is my wish for 2019. My people said that I’m a sweet girl who loves to be cuddled (but not carried), will lick your hands, and am a total love-bug once I get to know you. How can you resist that?

Hi… my name is Paahk (“Park”),

Adopted with Lily 9-11-19

You know the saying “When life gives you lemons…” well given that I have no eyes (literally!) I’ve done pretty well for myself, especially with help from my seeing-eye friend Lilly! My dad adopted us when we were kittens but his health necessitated his moving in with his cat-allergic family so he sadly had to part with us. He said I love head/ear scratches, laps, exploring, and, if you can believe it, catching flies! There’s not much I can’t do (especially with Lilly around for guidance) so except to look at me, you’d never know I’m “special needs.” If your heart is as big as mine (and Lilly’s) I know we’ll be a forever family!

Hi… my name is Belle (aka Wilma),

Adopted 7-3-19

If a loving, playful, entertaining, energetic feline is what you’re searching for, look no further! My dad adopted my friends, Lilly and Paahk (who need to stay together) and me when we were kittens, but his health necessitated his moving in with his cat-allergic family, so he sadly had to part with us. It would be great if we ALL could stay together, but if three is more than you can handle, I’d probably be fine with just you. Dad said I love to snuggle under covers, will let you know when I’m hungry, and am an “all around good kitty.” If you’d open up your heart (and dog-free home) to me I’d be forever grateful!

PS I hope you like my baby photos at end of the gallery.

Hi… my name is Lilly (aka Lulu),

Adopted with Paahk 9-11-19

It’s sure nice to be needed! I’m a “seeing eye cat” for my friend, Paahk, and everyone agrees I should continue to be his guiding light. Dad adopted us (along with my sister, Belle) when we were kittens but his health necessitated his moving in with his cat-allergic family so he sadly had to part with us. I’m very active (boxes, bags, and string balls are my faves) and sometimes try to be an escape artist (so watch those open doors!), and although I’m not a great “please come pet me” kinda gal, I do like to snuggle up occasionally. If you’d open up your heart (and dog-free home) to us we’d be forever grateful!

PS I hope you like my baby pictures at the end of the gallery.

Hi… my name is Cocoa,

Adopted 1-30-19

Ok, at first glance, you not might think I’m seeking attention, but if you give me a chance and just a few seconds of head scratching, I’ll turn upside down and simply MELT into your hand! Sadly for me, my mom’s fiancé is allergic to cats, so I guess in the grand scheme of things, a husband might even be better than a fur ball for lifelong company, so my quest to find the perfect home where no one has allergies (at least to cats!) is on my agenda. I’m a 4½-year-old golden-eyed, laid-back, independent (but loving) gent who’s lived and gotten along with dogs, so I’m betting I’ll adjust in a new home in no time.

Hi… my name is Noelle,

Adopted 12-28-18

Early one cold, dark morning, I was found tied to a tree. The note attached to the wire holding me said I’d been found near the library. I admit to crying a little when they brought me in here; I was so grateful to be safe and warm, and with kind people—I’m a dog who loves human company. As a youngster—probably born in late 2017— I’m eager to learn and to please. At 34 pounds, I’m a slender Lab/Husky mix female, a sweet companion, with a soft blonde coat and one big dream: A loving home, where no one is left behind, and we happily take care of each other forever!
