Some cats adjust to change easily; some (like me) take longer. But when I’m comfortable with my person, I’m social and inquisitive, like to sit in your lap while you watch TV, and enjoy ear and back scratching (but no belly rubs or much picking up, please!). My family has started travelling a lot, so they felt that I needed a home where I can get more attention. Dad said I’m loving but can sometimes be aloof (hey, I’m a cat so no surprise there!), like to sleep “everywhere,” and am “generally a good girl.” I’m 11 years old, have vet support for life, and I’m ever so hopeful our new life together starts soon!

Aptly named, I’m a black (and silver) beauty and a sight to behold (maybe that’s what caught your eye). It’s hard to imagine anyone abandoning me (and my friend, Duke) anywhere, but at least they had the decency to do it near a vet! Fortunately, they found us quickly so we didn’t have to spend too much time out there alone. You may think that with such a rough start in life, I’d be kinda shy, but because of the warm welcome I received at TALGV, I’ve developed a real friendliness to people (and have even learned to sit before getting food!). At 42 pounds, there’s lot of me to love, so come do it!

I’ve spent much of my life in an Arizona room with my best friend, Bobcat, and he’s become my “protector” so everyone agrees we’d adjust to new lives more easily together. My dad said that he thinks I may have been abused when I was young, as it took quite a while for me to feel comfortable with him. Although I’m still shy with people, if you spend just a bit of quiet time with me, you’ll see that I really do want affection and attention. Since I have vet care support for life, maybe that’ll help you decide to take a gamble on us – it’s a “sure thing” we’ll love you for it!

I’ve spent my life living in an Arizona room with my best friend, Siam, amid lots of places to perch and watch the world go by. We’ve been together all our lives, and since she’s so shy I’ve become her “protector,” so everyone agrees we’ll adjust to new lives more easily if we stay together. Dad’s health prevented his caring for and interacting with us for quite a while, so I’m yearning for that “hands on” attention humans are so good at, and although I’m FIV positive and 10 years old, I’m still playful and outgoing, and a great companion. After my mom went into a nursing home, my friend, Baxter, and I remained in our house for a month hoping she’d be able to come home (neighbors came to visit and feed us, but it wasn’t the same as having mom around). Well, that didn’t happen, so here we are, eager to spend the second half of our lives together in a new home with a new special someone. Mom said that we’re both “people” cats – we crave attention and cuddling and even at 10 years old (and entitled to vet care support for life), we’re still playful as all get-out. Sounds like a deal to me; I hope it does to you, too!

We also get along with people, small and large, and although A.J. tolerated the three dogs in our home, I was awfully frightened of them, so a place that’s dog free would be best for us. Our mom moved out of state and couldn’t manage the dogs and us, too, so now’s your chance to make two 2-year-old Snowshoe Siamese lovers yours (and in case you’re unfamiliar with the breed, being lovers is what we’re famous for!).
