Hi… my name is Duncan,

Adopted September 14, 2016

There aren’t tons of people willing to care for feral cats, but the wonderful lady who rescued my siblings and me has been doing that for years. I think the word got out to the feline moms in her neighborhood, as they often brought her their litters, knowing that she’d see that they were safe, and so it was with me. I went to live with a big, active family for a few months, and although they said that I was lovable, gentle, and playful, their other cat often intimidated me, so sometimes my manners took a bit of a tumble. I’d like to prove that I really can be a perfectly behaved little guy, and I’ll bet in a more calm home where it’s just you and me, I’ll be just that!

Hi… my name is Argyle,

Adopted March 1, 2016

There aren’t tons of people willing to care for feral cats (and take the time to trap, neuter, and release them), but the wonderful lady who rescued us has been doing just that for years. I think the word has gotten out to the feline moms in her neighborhood, as they’ve been bringing her their litters for a while now, knowing that she’d see that they were safe, and so it was with my siblings, Duncan, Bronte, and me. As much as she could, she also made sure that we were socialized, but given that we lived outside all our lives, we could still use some additional “climbing onto your lap” encouragement. Happily, we’re all healthy as the proverbial horse, so you can rest assured all you have to add is love!

Hi… my name is Niko.

Adopted September 30, 2015

I’m a cuddle dog! The people who cared for me after they found me at a school said that I love to cuddle. That’s the important stuff, really, but I should also tell you that I’m a 6-year-old Chihuahua, black and tan, male, and weigh about 7.5 pounds. Okay, I’m not very big, but there’s a lot of love in me! I’m especially calm and loving while being held, and that’s because your kind touch means SO much to me. I’ve lived with a family, including kids 12 years old and older, and a German Shepherd. So if it’s just you and me, or a family, I’m a happy guy, especially if there’s lots of cuddle time! Please come for a visit so we can see how good we are together

Eli

Hi… my name is Eli,

Adopted December 2, 2015

Could I get lucky in the adoption department just one more time? My dog buddy, Skittles, and I had a wonderful home with our person for 1-1/2 years, but due to her health issues, we’re back at TALGV. I’m a black and tan, 2-year-old male; a Shepherd/Hound mix—which, in my case, means a guy with handsome shepherd looks and hound ears, who’s leash trained and what people call “a really nice dog.” I like playing with a ball, and I’m willing to learn new games, too, because I’m a friendly guy who just likes being with people. If you take me home, I’ll do my best every day to make you glad you did. How about we meet and see if the perfect place for me is with you!

Hi… my name is Sarge,

Adopted March 4, 2016

I tried, I really did, but I just couldn’t get along with the other male cat that I shared my mom with (she called me “domineering,” whatever that means!), so I guess that means that it should just be you and me and life will be dandy! Mom also listed lots of my good qualities, like chasing laser lights, balls, and just about “anything that flies.” I’m also into listening to calm, soothing music, lap cuddling, being brushed and petted, and having my picture taken (I even won a contest for her!). You might not guess all that at the moment, as I’m pretty anxious about my change in circumstances, but if you give me a chance, I can prove that she was right about me on all counts!

Hi… my name is Penny,

Adopted 4-4-17

Penny comes with Free Vet Care for Life.

My person and I had a good life together for many years, but she had to move to a special place where animals can’t go. So now I’m looking for a new home, too. I just know there’s another someone for me to love. Granted, I’ll need some help at first. I’m a bit confused by this big change, and would greatly appreciate some patience in making the adjustment. Once made, though, I’ll be your faithful little companion. And I come with Free Vet Care for Life! I’m an 11-year-old female, black and white Chihuahua mix, a cutie pie from my teeny toes to my Batgirl ears! If I make you smile, maybe I could do that every day. Please visit me and let’s see if we could share a happily ever after.

Hi… my name is Joie (aka Zoiee),

Adopted November 6, 2015

My story from June 2015: Okay, I understand that a young puppy is probably more than some older people can handle or have time for, so I know it was nothing I did that brought me here! After my dad disappeared, his mom tried to care for his kids and me, but the combination was way more than she could handle. She said I was a typical youngster who was very playful and affectionate, loved to romp with the young kids (gently and politely though!), so I’ve got the basics down and all I need is someone with patience and time to guide me and give me the attention I deserve. I’m a darling black and white Staffie mix girl just waiting to demonstrate how happy, smart, and eager I am to learn.

Hi… my name is Money,

Adopted September 23, 2015

I had a good home with my dog buddy, Goli, and our human dad, but when he needed medical attention, there was no one to take care of us. He decided a new home would be best for each of us and so we’re here. I’m excited about a new place and thinking I could fit in real well. I’m a tan, 7-pound male, and at 3 years old, I’ve learned some important things: I know “sit,” “come,” how to walk on a leash, and how to behave well in the house. I’m super alert, too, watchful and attentive. Most of all, I hope I’m the kind of friend you’d love in your life. Please, could we meet? I’m thinking the best new home for me may be yours!

He decided a new home would be best for each of us and so we’re here. I’m excited about a new place and thinking I could fit in real well. I’m little, a beige and cream 14-pound girl, and at just 6 months old, I know “sit” and “come,” and how to walk on a leash. TALGV volunteers call me super cute; I hope you think so, too. Most of all, I want you to know that I’m a loving dog who would make a great friend. Please, could we meet? I’m thinking the best new home for me may be yours!
