My human said I am sweet and friendly but shy at first. Also, that I was a good mouser—probably how I got my name. But those days of living outside are over! I want the safety of a home with my brother Archie. He’s more outgoing than I, but we both know our names and get along with everyone! We were found as kittens on our family’s property. That family included two young children, a horse and dogs. Unfortunately, one dog wasn’t “cat friendly” so here we are! Life’s so much better with a cat—or two! Please come meet Archie and me. I’m a tall slinky feline in good health. I’m still adjusting to the routines at TALGV, and the volunteers are doing their best to help me settle in. Unfortunately, my human had to go into assisted living and couldn’t take me along. I miss her a lot. My dental check-up revealed that I have good oral health and that’s important since I don’t brush daily! My vaccinations are all up to date, and I’ve even had my Rabies shot. Glad those shots are over. Who likes shots? Well, here I am waiting for you – my next Mom and/or Dad. Why don’t you come today and meet me?

I’m looking forward to my future! Is it with you? My kind rescuer found me injured on Nogales Highway and took me to his vet before bringing me to The Animal League where I’m being well-cared for. I’m a lovely, shy girl who needs loving care and protection. I’m understandably cautious when volunteers approach me, but I love their calming words and gently petting my soft fur coat. Frankie

Frankie is a spunky and loyal 7-year-old, 47-pound Heeler mix female who needs a new home. She is crate trained, leash trained, and obedience trained (knows: sit, go to your bed, lay, shake, stay, wait and leave it). She is housebroken and asks to go out. She is in good health, spayed, and medical records are available. Frankie usually gets along with other dogs and children and is a great companion, but she mostly likes her own space. She does not like sudden loud noises. She likes to play with her stuffed animal and ball and enjoys lounging in the sun, going on desert strolls, rolling in the grass, going camping, and car rides. There is no adoption fee for this sweet girl.

“Super friendly and affectionate,” so said my rescuer. Looking for my home, I went onto her patio in Vail, AZ.
