Hi… my name is Fricker (aka Bart),

Adopted 6-20-19

Fricker comes with FREE Vet Care for Life.

You know how humans sometimes decide that their relationship “isn’t working any more!” Well that’s what happened with my brother and me (and apparently with other cats a well), so I’m looking for love with a human guy or gal! I lived with my mom and dad, and although he said that I wasn’t fond of “female people, ” that sure has changed since I’ve been back here, ‘cause I just LOVE all the (mostly female) volunteers! I’m a quiet gentleman (and at 13 I have free vet care), who likes to sit next to you to be petted and spend long days napping in the sunbeams. If that sounds like a plan to you, I’m ready!

Hi… my name is Tonga,

Adopted with Samoa 4-12-19

What is it about fluffy baby kittens that sends otherwise perfectly rational humans into paroxysms of delight? Well, I guess there’s no denying that we ARE adorable at that stage, but slightly older kittens are pretty awesome too! My sister, Samoa, and I (we were part of the “Pacific Island” litter!) are just as playful, happy-go-lucky, and affectionate as we were during our baby stage, only a little more settled and mature – that should be a plus for those of you who’ve forgotten how much attention and time the wee ones need! So hey, why not spice up your life with a youngster (or two!) who’s ready to devote his whole attention and love to you!

Hi… my name is Seri,

Adopted with Cholla 4-7-19

Can a dog be both shy and brave? I guess the answer is yes because friends here say that’s what I am. I was a stray, being fed—along with another lost dog—by kind strangers. Although very grateful for the food, we were still very shy, even after being rescued and brought here. But after my fellow lost dog was adopted and I was left alone, something surprising happened: Instead of being more afraid, I’ve become friendlier with the volunteers—cautious, but with gentle coaxing, I’ve dared to approach new people. In my sweet, calm way, I’ll probably be brave enough to greet you, too. And if you’re patient and I’m very lucky, we could become such good friends that you’ll want to take me home. Will you give me that happy chance?

Hi… my name is Gunther,

Adopted 9-11-19

After my people moved away and I couldn’t join them, I was sad. I’ve always been very loyal and loving to my family and to regular visitors, so being alone was tough. But it turns out other people can be my friends, too. My former family said that I’m housetrained, very intelligent and seemed to understand what they said (between you and me, that’s true—I did). I often will follow correction when spoken to, not when yelled at or scolded. That’s because although I’m kind of a big guy, my heart is tender. I’m even a little shy. For fun, I like to play, enjoy toys, and I’m very curious. And I know life can be great with people you love. So how about we meet and see if we can be great together!

Hi… my name is Baltazar,

Adopted 8-18-19

How’s this for disheartening: My family was moving and as they got ready to leave, they couldn’t find me, so took the dog, another cat, drove away, and LEFT ME IN THE HOUSE! Needless to say, my outlook on life was pretty dim after that, so I hope I’ll be forgiven for being fairly shy right now. But if you just pop your hand into whatever cubby I’m holed up in, I’ll ever so gladly snuggle up, purr, and tell you how much I’d like to go home with you. I’m a sweet, 6-year-old fellow who’d give his whiskers to be the cat of your dreams spending all my time right next to you!

Hi… my name is Rowdy,

Returned to previous owner 4-13-19

Back when I was a “too tiny puppy,” I was rescued from a puppy mill. My human mom and dad believed that’s why I’ve always been anxious and distrustful of people generally, but Mom and I developed a “deep and abiding love for each other,” (quoting her niece). For 8 years, I was happy as could be with Mom and Dad, and “they would never in a million years have given me up” if serious illness had not made it impossible for them to take care of me. As hard as it was to say goodbye, Mom said it gave her great peace of mind to know I’d be well cared for. And since she believed in me, I do too. Someone else will love lively, unique little me, and I’m hoping it’s you.
